I am not a Walmart fan either. Their supercenters have virtually shut down all grocery stores around our area. There are 3 SC’s within a 15 mile area and there are only about four or five other grocery stores in the entire area that are surviving. Mostly in the outer areas, not anywhere near the SC’s. They come in and under cut of course all the grocery prices and they go out of business. Then Walmart starts raising prices. Back during the high gas prices they jumped up their prices to match the increased gas prices. Now that gas has dropped, OF COURSE, Wallyworld HAS NOT dropped the grocery prices back. They kept them where they were when they raised them. So, any excuse to raise, no reason to bring them back down. Really pisses me off. We basically have not other choice but too get groceries at Wallyworld.

Agree. Walmart is too big. IMO, we need to take antitrust a step further to allow for local & honest market economies.
