WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama, preparing Friday to meet with families of terror victims, is concerned that Guantanamo Bay detainees have been held for years without trial. Obama wants to close the detention center in Cuba, and has signed an executive order to do so within a year. He has invited relatives of Americans killed in the bombing of the USS Cole in 2000 and the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks the next year to the White House for a meeting Friday afternoon. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs says Obama will discuss his plans for Guantanamo Bay with the terror victims' families. Many of those families disagree with the president's plan to close the detention center. Obama "wants to discuss his plan to bring about changes in Guantanamo that he believes will make this country safer and bring about the very same swift justice that they desire on behalf of those that they know that have been killed," Gibbs said.

Cavuto had the mother of a black sailor killed on the Cole on his show, she said she regrets voting for Obama, her daughter wants him impeached already and said her other family members feel the same way, said she is beyond disappointed in his moves.

Me too. Of course we probably mean different things.
Obama is on the wrong track to release the prisoners or to give them Constitutional rights as if they were citizens of the United States. He should instead order military tribunals that would assure the swift justice he seeks. Civilian courts will just drag out the proceedings and give the enemy a platform for propaganda. That is what I think. I do not know how meeting with the victims and feeling their pain will help unless Obama fancies himself as a benevolent president of the world. We want everybody to feel good about themselves of course, especially this administration, and especially with US taxpayer dollars.
He’s not the President, as he has no id, therefore he should be called Present Obama.
Good to see Bambi’s concerned about the rights of terrorists. Too bad he doesn’t have time to be more concerned about the rights of their victims.
Justice for terrorist is either garroting or impalement. But I don’t think that’s what Obama means.
