But I was responding to the part about the income tax amendment. The federal government doesn't collect gasoline taxes under the authority of the income tax amendment, at least as far as I know.
I admit I goofed there.
Still, it doesn't matter. The federal government can spend the money however it wants based on whatever conditions it wants to attach.

“Read the entire amendment. It’s not just about how taxes are collected, but it also concerns how they’re spent.”
Are we talking about the same thing?
The entire amendment as far as I can find it:
AMENDMENT XVI
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

Some discouraging numbers HERE re secession. I see this poll was take last July. Much has happened since. I wonder what the numbers would look like today, and whether liberals would still outnumber conservatives in the "right to secede" group.

I wonder what the numbers would look like today, and whether liberals would still outnumber conservatives in the "right to secede" group. Good question and curious ain't it. One might ask just how much of a role the constant bashing by the Dims and their media lapdogs over the last eight years may have played in the poll. But yeah, I suspect there would be a somewhat different result if it were done today.

Sadly We are the government, and we are indebted, insanely enough, to the Chi Com's.

Our Republic has no shortage of enemies. We are indebted, for the most part, to them. The commies, the caliphs, the 'nobles' who are still fighting to win back what they lost during the 18th century revolutions.
You can be sure 'globalism' in the vernacular would be impossible without US deficit spending.
We will sell them the rope from which they will hang, and all that...

Hola! How’re things in your neck of the woods? Have you heard about the Utah legislator who is pushing for his state to reclaim some of its rights under the 10th Amendment?

I agree. Someone did state that there are probably a few Conservative members in the state legislature, and they’re the ones who framed this. That makes sense.
