You Report Click-2-Listen Buzz up!The al-Nashiri trial was the last one still ongoing Thursday night because Col. James L. Pohl, the chief judge of the Guantanamo Bay War Crimes court, refused to abide by the executive orders.

Peter Gadiel, whose son died in the Sept. 11 attacks and who runs 9/11 Families for a Secure America, will attend the Friday meeting. He said he expected about 30 family members of victims to be there.

He said if Mr. Obama does close the detention facility and have trials in U.S. courts, some terrorists will go free and, he predicted, take part in more terrorist plots.

"When they commit terrorist acts, the blood of the victims will be on his hands," Mr. Gadiel said of Mr. Obama

Read this open letter to President Obama from Gary Swenchonis Sr, the father of a USS Cole Victim.

It will break your heart.

Terrorism:  Politicians and Victims.

However, Mr. Morrell said Thursday night that the dismissal was made “without prejudice,” meaning the U.S. government may continue to prosecute him at a later date... Mr. Morrell said al-Nashiri will not be set free, in the U.S. or elsewhere, any time soon.

Hmm - a planned delay, then. But what are they waiting for... Godot?

Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit. I’ll try again. Crawford started this garbage during the Bush administration. Did zero order that also???? Of course the overall closing Gitmo policy and future body count is all on zero but there is no reason this DOD bureaucrat should not be called out in this fiasco.

In 1979 I was an E-8 in the Navy. Carter was president. Complaints from the military were open and numerous. There was even talk of a Union. Morale was so low that the Admiral came to our ship to talk to the senior enlisted personnel (E-7 to E-9),After about 20 minutes he was laughed out of the Chiefs mess.
The Vice President, mondale, was quoted in Navy Times saying “ If they don't like it, then let them vote with their feet”. I took him at his word and when my enlistment expired in Sept. 1979, I got out after over 18 years of active service. History is repeating itself.
I wish you well.

“It was a Bush/Gates appointee that did this.”

She had a choice?

To be fair to Crawford, no, she did not, it was going to happen regardless. She perhaps even pulled the rug from under Pres_ent Oh, Bummer by doing it *before* the meeting with the families, when his plan was to do it after...

On Jan 29, it came to light that NObama is demanding that all of the military swear their oath of allegience to the PRESIDENT instead of to the CONSTITUTION.

Source on this, please? Its of vital importance...

The enlisted man's oath already swears to obey the president's and superiors legal orders.

While that clause is there, Jeff, read it carefully. It says "legal". What gives them the legal authority to issue orders, and determines which orders may be legal, or not? The Constitution does, and the *first* loyalty in the oath is rightly, to the Constitution, even for enlisted men. It is tops in the order of precedence.

Substituting a direct oath to the office of the Presidency, or making such a loyalty above the loyalty to the Constitution the precedent, is a radical departure, and not a good thing, in my book...

WE HAVE TO START A PETITION. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. WE CAN NOT LET THIS GO. I AM STARTING BY RESIGNING MY OFFICER COMMISSION IN LESS THAN 1 YEAR. I AM ALSO GOING TO PETITION THE CLOSING OF GITMO AND THIS ACT. MTF.

I agree, it’s spiraling out of control so fast it makes my head spin. We have to do something NOW. Let our voices be heard, don’t let the MSM keep hiding these things and candy coating them.

going out of his way to demoralize the troops in taking this action.

Bingo!! He wants his own army, loyal to him, the rest will be easy. Kiss America as we know and love her bye bye.

It break my heart and I will probably cry for a while. obama is a despicable evil man.

President Obama I refused your invitation to meet with with you because I knew what you were going to do. Drop the charges against al-Nashiri, and stop the trial which we were getting ready to leave for today. I want you to know that your actions broke my wifes heart. I sat and watched her cry all nite long out of frustration, anger, and emotional pain. Again. I should be used to this but I am not. I have had to watch her cry before when Saleh of Yemen freed our sons killers. When President Clinton refused to take any action against the killers. And when President Bush refused to quit our country’s support of Yemen. And when the Justice Department refused to honor the Federal Court Ruling Against the Sudan which helped to murder our son. And numerous other times when our government ignored our plight. Will the Cole Victims and their familes ever recieve justice? I am begining to realize now that we never will have justice unless that justice is politically convenient.

Absolutely. I feel the exact same. This is truly sickening, but no surprise from a guy who couldn't even find his Birth Certificate. Pathetic and sad. Unbelievable.
