Has Stabenow ever met a donut that she didn't like?

Yes, it's an ad hominem attack, but I'm taking advantage of the "Stabenow exception" to the no ad hominem attacks rule...

What works for Rush Limbaugh works for National Public Radio too! Oh, right, I forgot. The rules don’t apply to “progressives”.

The Fairness Doctrine is a product of the liberal Democrats’ victim mentality. Like a child who’s had to lose a few of their marbles because they’ve had to play the game.

Stopping Obama’s new Fairness Doctrine is essential
January 14, 2009, 8:03 am
By Kevin “Coach” Collins
http://collinsreport.net

There is some encouraging data in a new Pew media poll. It gives us strong reason to believe we can turn things around if we can stop the so- called Fairness Doctrine.

Pew found 4 groups of news consumers: those who go to all sources, 23%,

only Internet news gatherers 13%,

only old media news consumers 46%,

and the clueless who don’t care 18%.

The “newspapers only” readers dropped 7 points to 27% since 2006 which is good news.

But the really good news is: for the first time the number of both online and radio news (outlets we have an edge in) gatherers, has overtaken the newspaper readers.

Predictably young people don’t give a damn what’s happening. Regardless of old media reports, only 10% of “Youtubers” care about the news and “Smart phoners” number just 6%.

The “believability” ratings for online news is less than for old news providers which is not good, but time and demographics will change this perception.

Television news consumers are declining, but still numerous. They’re older people who will eventually die watching “antenna television” and never look elsewhere. Nevertheless, these older people are still a source of net gain support for the GOP. Old Republican votes still virtually cancelled out old Democrat votes last November.

To maintain our communications advantage, we have to build on this good news, work hard and fight off liberal efforts to pass a new Fairness Doctrine. This Orwellian named farce is designed to destroy the edge we have in the new media, and frankly that edge is all we have.

Of course having America’s ear and making our case are two different things. Voters heard our message and decided it was a pile of murky unfathomable crap. We can’t let that happen again. We need to use our voice to offer a clear conservative message as an alternative to the socialism Barack Obama will be pushing on us.

It was Benjamin Franklin who said, “We must all hang together, gentlemen…else, we shall most assuredly hang separately”

His words are true today. If we sit back and wait for others to stop the new Fairness Doctrine we will lose our voice in the public square.

Time is short and the number of other sites gathering voices for the fight is shorter....

If you have ideas for saving our voice let us hear them. Write kcoachc@gmail.com

If these hearings are held, I hope Rush will be brought in to provide expert witness testimony. He’d decimate these pompus jackasses.

will CNN and MSNBC and ABC and CBS be included in the fairness interogation?

will there be congressional hearings on the fake national guard documents?

Fairness doctrine is meaningless as THEY define it if CNN especially is not included.

Paul Begalla should be opposite Ann Coulter, however CNN would have to compensate Begalla’s microphone for his girly man screams of agony.

“Accountability” is Newspeak for suppression of free speech.
As the glow fades from the Barack Hussein Obama presidency, expect more attacks on speech and dissent. When we get another terrorist attack on American soil, we might get martial law and suspension of all Constitutional Rights-permanently. Obama is showing himself to be sensitive, brittle and emotional. Before he falls, he’ll fall apart.

Yesterday afternoon, the CEO of Talker magazine (Radio Bible) was interviewed regarding this legislation. According to him, only 7-8% of the airwaves and/or airplay is “conservative talk radio”. That is what they want to control. The reason is seems more popular then that is simply due to the few personalities that continue to be in the public eye.

He says limiting the play of such a small percent of the market would kill radio stations due to a loss in advertising. Yes, that small percent covers most of all the other costs.

The old 80-20 rule where 20% do 80% of the work. In this case however, less seems to be doing more.

Bill Press called the station OBAMA 1260?!

They sure didn’t start out with “no bias”. And they had to shut down? Maybe people thought their programming was just too BOR-ing to tolerate more than a few minutes, and switched over to something, anything, that was more entertaining or engaging.

How soon until religious Christian stations are required to put on Islamic imams?

it is important not to let leftists frame the argument. ask the mod to put “censorship doctrine” in parentheses next to the title.

Sounds like the RATS are getting beat at their own game and their howling. Take the (Un)Fairness Doctrine and put it where sun doesn’t shine, Stabenow.
