Yesterday afternoon, the CEO of Talker magazine (Radio Bible) was interviewed regarding this legislation. According to him, only 7-8% of the airwaves and/or airplay is “conservative talk radio”. That is what they want to control. The reason is seems more popular then that is simply due to the few personalities that continue to be in the public eye.
He says limiting the play of such a small percent of the market would kill radio stations due to a loss in advertising. Yes, that small percent covers most of all the other costs.
The old 80-20 rule where 20% do 80% of the work. In this case however, less seems to be doing more.
Glenn Beck is all over it right now.
Proposed new department at the White House.
“Here in Michigan shes refered to as Stab-a-Cow.”
Or...Stab-em-now , Slab-a-cow , SlobberCow,..
The irony is that that’s an actual picture.
Who has the photoshopped version that says “DANGEROUSLY OBESE”?
“That is one fat a$$ed commie right there... excuse my language.”
No problem..We call libs ‘commies’ on here all the time!
:0)
Bill Press called the station OBAMA 1260?!
They sure didn’t start out with “no bias”. And they had to shut down? Maybe people thought their programming was just too BOR-ing to tolerate more than a few minutes, and switched over to something, anything, that was more entertaining or engaging.
How soon until religious Christian stations are required to put on Islamic imams?
Hee hee!!!
LLS
I'm rather shocked at how fast the liberals are moving & O too. I had thought they'd gradually ease us into all their liberal (marxist) ways, but heck no, they got elected, they have the majority, WHY NOT ram it all down our throats!!!
We will have 24/7 propoganda blasted over the airwaves just like every other communist country!
Oh have no doubt, O's glow is fading. A relative was on a flight yesterday & everyone on the plane was complaining about Zero, even blacks who said they voted for him.
They were saying "there is no change, it was all a scam"
Agreed, love the picture and use it from time to time.
This the response that I received:

Thank you . . .
. . for contacting me about the fairness doctrine, which required broadcasters on public airways to allow time for contrasting points of view. I appreciate that you have taken the time to communicate your views and concerns with me.
The Federal Communications Commission first implemented this doctrine in 1949. At the time, it was concerned about the limited number of radio and television broadcast frequencies being controlled by advocates with a singular point of view. The FCC abandoned the doctrine in the 1980s. Should any proposal to reinstate this doctrine come before me in the Senate, I will be sure to keep your views and concerns in mind.
Thank you again for contacting me. Please do not hesitate to do so again if I can be of assistance to you in the future.
Sincerely,
Debbie Stabenow
United States Senator

it is important not to let leftists frame the argument. ask the mod to put censorship doctrine in parentheses next to the title.
Sounds like the RATS are getting beat at their own game and their howling. Take the (Un)Fairness Doctrine and put it where sun doesn’t shine, Stabenow.
