Well now it is starting to make some sense. I guess the military has thrown down the gauntlet, after Obama's treatment of Petraeus.

Or at least the individual making the decision, perhaps soon to be out of a job or stuck in rank, wanted to be certain that the ability to prosecute would be maintained. File that under acting in the nation's best interests.
