I doubt that this move has anything to do with the good of the country -- it is, on its face, stupid. There is nothing in it for the country. Nothing good, that is.
So, what does Obama gain from this surely controversial decision (though probably not nearly as controversial we think it should be)?

Surely theres some reason hes got to have to spin the American public, no? Not necessarily. Maybe he considers himself SO powerful that it doesn't matter what any of us think of his decisions. After all, in his mind he WON, so he thinks he can do whatever he wants.
