I knew of a girl in my high school who had a ‘D and C’. Bad girl? Yes. She thought nothing of it. This was before abortion was legal. I wouldn't characterize my 2 friends who had abortions in the 70’s as bad girls. As Emma Thompson said in the movie, it was what the smart girls did. As a college freshman in 1969, we were sold a bill of goods by the Feminists. It took me a long time to realize that Feminists weren't actually for the betterment of women, they were simply for far Left wing causes. I have lived through very strange and scary times.

Well, I don’t like labels of “bad” and “good” in the sense that sometimes people do things because they are coming from a place of deep, profound pain. However, I still think my mom’s point was valid. The girls who often slept around were very sophisticated and savvy about not getting pregnant while the gal who just had the same sweetheart all through high school often was the one who got pregnant and then had to face the music.

Some sins are more visual than others... and terminating a pregnancy can be done quite secretively.
