Fox: You say the president has been AWOL...He's been writing editorials, he's been all over the media, you don't think that's an approach that's been work-...
Graham: No, no, no, no. Scaring people is not leadership. Writing an editorial that if you don't pass this bad bill, we're going to have disaster....We've had enough presidents trying to scare people into making bad decisions...[Obama] is not leading. Having lunch is not leading. Getting people in a room like Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neill did to solve Social Security has not happened here. Doing TV interviews is not leading.
We need a bunch of Republicans and Democrats in a room with the White House to find out how to smartly spend money to create jobs and if it doesn't create a job in the near-term, we shouldn't spend the money.
Fox: Do you fear the risk of being labeled a partisan with that kind of talk...?
Graham: If this is bipartisanship, count me out...this process stinks. It's been a partisan exercise in the House and the Senate...I am very disappointed.
...This is not the way you spend $800 billion...$1 trillion with interest!...16 senators behind closed doors trying to figure out how to do it by tonight. That's CRAZY!!
Wow, is this for real? I could have sworn that earlier today, WABC played a soundbyte where it sounded like GRAHAM supported the thing.
I never thought I’d cheer for Graham, but it looks like he’s a patriot.
Looney Lindsey just didn’t get the specific graft he was looking for. Pelosi on the other hand....
He’s probably seen the polls that most Americans oppose any more bailouts. He wants to be included with the “good guys” when it gets passed on a completely partisan basis. He’s just covering his azz.
Social Security's problems were solved? I wasn't aware of that. I thought they just jacked up taxes to save the money for later. However the money was stolen and all that was left was a stack of IOUs.

He’s a misguided RINO, and I think this new mortgage subsidy he’s backing is another debt-driven bad idea, but it does look like the guy really does want to do the right thing...and is now becoming more convinced that Obama does not.
Did Lindsey just find his balls in Al Gore’s lockbox?
He knows a winnin bandwagon when it goes by, and jumps aboard with the best of them.
Seven days from now, he’ll reverse his position. He’ll claim the bill has been modified to meet his ‘criteria’ but the truth is McCAin will tell him when, and he’ll back it.
Watch and see, seven days tops.
This bill even made Olympia Snowe gag.
Must be really bad.
Whenever they try to bring up Illegal Alien Amnesty again....you can be sure Grahamnesty will be Obama’s GOP lapdog.
Even once in awhile....a sterile man will produce some testosterone.
...and yeah, he really did say that. Watch the video (transcript doesn’t do it justice). Guy’s pissed.
>>Sen. Graham Goes Ballistic: President AWOL, Stimulus Process a Joke, “Count me Out!”<<
I can’t tell if the President is AWOL or if (as I think is more likely) he’s getting his ass kicked by Democratic leaders in the House and Senate. Either way, we have a Nancy Pelosi stimulus more than an Obama stimulus.
No one who puts country ahead of party could support this TRILLION DOLLAR pork barrel
and the unseemly push to get it passed?
Maybe because in the next week or 2, Obama has to throw some REAL money at the banks. At least ANOTHER TRILLION.
This is Graham?
Have we a rebellion underway?
How much of failure is Obama where coming into office with a stratospheric air of euphoria and gushing approval, he’s having this much trouble with his first major initiative, this soon into his administration?
LOL. The Demonrats have to be panicking as they don’t want to own this disaster. And it is all on them as they don’t need a single Republican vote as they control the Senate. Let them pass their bill on their own because it’s nothing but liberal tripe and the people are going to find out what it really means to elect these irresponsible people with their Marxist, disastrous ideologies that become realities.
