A car bomb explosion critically injured the head of the Arkansas State Medical Board on Wednesday, detonating in his driveway as he was leaving for work, authorities said.
Trent P. Pierce, who oversees the board that licenses and disciplines the state's doctors, was injured after "some type of explosive device" tore through his car, West Memphis Police Chief Bob Paudert said.

Ah, so it was a bomb. Wonder who was after him and why.
Arkansas, eh?
I wonder what HE did to pi$$ off the Clintons...
In a case like this...in the south...usually there is a woman involved, and its not your wife. Probably some jealous husband who decided to settle some problem with the doc.
Has the FBI announced that this wasn’t terrorism yet?
Terrorism in the Age of Obama.
He’s probably pro-life....and a Christian.
They were unwilling to report that a Hybrid exploded until they could blame it on a bomb.
As to why? When a doctor is targeted I tend to think it might be anti-abortion activists.
Could be something more personal, though.
Perhaps a recent ruling against a doctor with a short fuse...
Oddly, they announced that it IS terrorism related.
That means they think the can blame it on white Christian extremists...
Did it injure any other parts of him?
Years ago, there was a vet who “fixed” a similar problem. There was an inquiry, but that’s as far as it got.
Or someone lost a loved one under his care and blames him.
The report I saw on CNN reported it as a hybrid right off. Described the damage in the front end and showed the hood blown open, which made it obvious that it wasn’t a problem with the hybrid.
I read he was an asthma doc.
I was going to say that!
Fox mentioned it once before they got the memo.
;^)
Googling reveals an Arkansas Supreme Court case involving the doctor for which an opinion was issued January 22 of this year. Could be nothing, but worth a look:
