Democratic Rep. Jim Cooper (Tenn.) vented to Air America about the way Speaker Nancy Pelosi was treating members who wanted to do things like read the bills being voted on.
It wasn't pretty.
Cooper, one of the 11 Democrats to vote against the House version of the stimulus bill, said he landed in hot water with Pelosi because he cared what was in the bill.
"I got in terrible trouble with our leadership because they don’t care what’s in the bill, they just want it pass and they want it to be unanimous," he said. "They don’t mind the partisan fighting cause that’s what they are used to. In fact, they’re really good at it. And they’re a little bit worried about what a post-partisan future might look like. If members actually had to read the bills and figure out whether they are any good or not. We’re just told how to vote. We’re treated like mushrooms most of the time."

The only person that heard it was the guy who had to put his ear up against the side of the radio station because their signal is so weak. I thought they have all switched over to something interesting like radio chess matches or reports about kitchen cleaning supplies!

Does anyone actually believe she knows what’s in this bill? This woman is the most partisan shrew ever to walk his Earth. They are going to rue the day they put her in charge.
I thought Air America collapsed 3 years ago??? Seriously, didn’t it go bankrupt and radio stations were replacing Air America with conservative stations in all the big markets they once had?
Did the interviewer ask the congressman how he voter for speaker of the house?

What a shameful thing to happen to this country.
Well, everyone has been saying she’s gotten on her high horse. In Washington, people have been referring to her as President Pelosi Obama seemingly has decided to smack her down.
But he probably did not expect Congressman Jim Cooper (D-TN) to admit it on the radio.
I thought that the nitwit that ran for Gov. in NY bought it for short money. I think the few remaining stations are all closing up.
I think some have even gone back to ethnic music and get better ratings.
Like the Obama 1250 in DC. Their ratings were so low, they didn’t even register. If one of their listeners left the room to grab a cup of herbal free range chai tea, the host would just stop talking and wait for them to return.

Madame Pelosi is going to take the hit for porkulous and Obamachev is going to drive the bus over her.
At least I’ll be in a good mood during the depression.
Air America is still around? Wow. There must be some payoffs and bailout money going that way, for sure.
Just goes to show you this “public be damned” elitist attitude the Demorat “leadership” has.
