Surprise of surprises, VDH and MoDo seem to be comparing notes and finding the Anointed One wanting.

Mr. Hanson once again hits it out of the park and his best line was the last in the article.

"...we the people, due to our American malaise, are to blame."

Very dangerous times ahead for the Republic!

This is what happens when you have a country of 300 million people and no serious journalists.

What do you espect from someone who is not Constitutionally-qualified to serve as President -- and he knows, and those around him know it, and everyone else with a brain knows it as well???

Since he ascended to the throne lawlessly, do you think that he will rule any other way than with hubris, arrogance, prefabrications, duplicity, hypocrisy and lawlessness???

Well, That Certainly Didn’t Take Long [Is Maureen Dowd against the stimulus too?]

On 9/11, President Bush learned of disaster while reading “The Pet Goat” to grade-school kids. On Tuesday, President Obama escaped from disaster by reading “The Moon Over Star” to grade-school kids. “We were just tired of being in the White House,” the two-week-old president, with Michelle at his side, explained to students at a public charter school near the White House. Even as he told the children his favorite superheroes were Batman and Spider-Man, his own dream of being the superhero who swoops in to swiftly save America was going SPLAT! It just ain’t that easy.

So, can we anticipate that, when the 3:00 a.m. phone call comes in, Obama will just hide his head under the covers?

Where is MODO mentioned in the article and why would you be surprised that Victor Davis Hanson would write an article that is logical and factually accurate?

Not that I didn’t appreciate the article, I always do from VDH, I just don’t understand your response.

We need to hang dear leader posters everywhere. Public restrooms, urinal targets, bulletin boards.

Hype the hope and change.

I've watched Democrat policies for the last few decades. I'm not sure which is a more frightening thought: That they can lie and lie so transparently and that so many people believe them is scary. I think it might be even scarier if they actually believe what they're saying.

Taking it back an election, Kerry/Edwards got a lot of mileage out of bashing Bush's opposition to fetal stem cell research. They made the claim that if they were elected, Christopher Reeve would get out of his wheel chair and walk. There was even a commercial (not a campaign ad, but obviously put out by an outfit that supported Kerry/Edwards as a subliminal ad) that had a realistic CGI of Reeve getting up out of his wheelchair and walking.

At first, I was offended that they would so callously use the pain of a quadriplegic to pander for votes like that. Then, I started to wonder, what if they REALLY believe that if they're elected, these things will happen. What if Obama REALLY believes that by the power of a crappy speech the seas will calm and the oceans will heal?

That thought is more frightening to me than the premise of a Chicago political street hustler conning us out of money.

From the article:"If he doesn't quit the messianic style and perpetual campaign mode, and begin humbly governing, then he will devolve into Carterism—angry that the once-fawning press betrayed him while we the people, due to our American malaise, are to blame.

Hitler ordered the subway systems in Berlin to be flooded, to deny them to the Russians, despite hundreds of refugees that would drown. He felt that the German people didn't deserve to have a nation, because they had failed to uphold his greatness. So, he set about ensuring that Germany was reduced to rubble and ashes.

Lord forgive me; I feel that our country has a great possibility of traveling down this road with nobama at the lead, should things take a drastic turn for the worse.

Leave the Obamas alone! They have been cooped up in the White House, for heaven’s sake.

Oh my! This sentence is amazingly accurate.

“Obama immediately must lower the hope-and-change rhetoric, ignore Reid/Pelosi, drop the therapy, and accept the tragic view that the world abroad is not misunderstood but quite dangerous.”

Wow, it is so true! Unfortunately, he is the leader of idealistic liberals and they all think that way. I don’t know what else we can do to make them understand that their view is NOT CORRECT.

This article shall be bookmarked for posterity. 12 days in and they’re tired of the White House, feeling cramped in there, I can’t even believe they would utter that to children, much less think it. What’s worse and I find it ODD, is michelle obama is planning on visiting all the Depts and letting herself be known there, “to learn and listen” she said. Can you imagine her planning a visit to say, the Treasury Dept or the Dept. of HHS and taking peoples time to learn what goes on at each Dept? I think she’s a dunce.
