Widespread shortages of guns, ammo and reloading supplies have been all the "rage" here and elsewhere on the internet.
>>"Fear Not, for I have not given you a spirit of fear"
(Excerpt) Read more at freerepublic.com ...
>>The one nearest to me only carries shells but, as I said and posted they have lots of supply on hand. Maybe not the type FMJ vs. JHP etc,,, They were up 20% since I last bought locally but, we target shoot a lot. I buy in bulk typically. Preparing the family regiment for the battlefield, no not hardly? You are probably not terribly realistic, what item at the store has gone down in price lately?
>>Seriously, if you have successfully hunted anything, you can find everything you might possibly need out there. Maybe "on sale" just like a friend and good shopping buddy of mine did yesterday. $50-100 off already marked down firearms. Including M-1's, AK copies w/ folding stocks, $299.99. I counted maybe 35 different military style rifles, all on sale $50-100 bucks. He bought the big yellow and black boxes, he has a 38 Special so he got JHP, 250 rounds at 50% off $49.99! The list was endless.
Across the nation, more posters feed the fires of fear when they dejectedly chime in with similar "grave" reports of panic buying. They too have returned from the hunt, vast trackless suburban jungles have become barren wastelands devoid of ammunition!
>>Nonsense, are we American's or, a bunch of spoiled frightened cry babies?
Any successful purchases are posted beside dire admonitions; they said that I purchased the "last" box. Also, my personal favorite, "further re-stocking of the ammunition selves is not expected" anytime soon!
>>Fear is the Greatest Tool of the Enemy. We have nothing to fear but fear itself! Get busy at whatever you think that you need to do now.
This extremely sad fairy tale! It gets progressively worse; we are told that posters were forced into paying enormous price increases for whatever ammunition was available at the store.
>>We saw at the least 100,000 boxes of shells, all of this was at one sporting goods store! Of course, I'd scouted it repeatedly, buying a box here or there. I've never seen more than one customer at the gun counter before in ten visits. Nobody paid attention to them, but that was why I did pay attention! A resourceful hunter does his homework before the opening day of the season anyway. When everybody else flocked to huge Cabela's, Gander Mtn. etc,,, I had my little tender gun store.
They report vicious shortages and "fire fights" erupting everywhere they shop; we have walked right into perfectly prepared digital ambush made worse and worse ginned up by many well meaning posters. They only spur panic buying, heart attacks and sleepless nights. No ammunition is apparently available anywhere across this nation.
>>Those people that champion "gun control" are causing their perfect storm. Panic grows into fear that will ignite somewhere and then we will become our own enemy.
I know that some of these posters are outsiders; they are banking upon starting trouble, division and stress in our camp. Just remember, people that have reported they can't find ammunition might just be phonies, cynically trying to cause someone to snap! Then Eric Holder and his buddies will disarm the lot of us piecemeal. The new government succeeds in disarming us when someone suddenly twists off.
Then the holy "One" will suddenly fill his annual tags and bag limit.
Tomorrow, I will post pictures of the place I visited yesterday complete with prices!
Now, go boldly forward walking upright, shoulders squared with courageous hearts.
Well heck. When does the season open and what is the limit?
I will bump this!
I usually can still find good deals if I buy in bulk.
I have about a thousand rounds of each caliber I own. Except for the bolt action pistol. Only 800 rounds for that. Time to stock up.
bump
Damn, you make me feel like I need to go on a spending spree.
> Except for the bolt action pistol.
Can’t say I’ve ever seen one of those...?
I have that very same box of Winchester 7.62x51.
I shot 40 rounds of it from that M1A last Sunday. It is good stuff.
I just saw Death Wish III last night and so want to get a .475 Wildey Magnum.
Agreed on the campaign of instigation and hysteria.
Stock-up on ammo!!!
Mite have to SMOKE a pit,,,
Like I almost did tonite!!!GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
Now that’s a good reason to stock-up! ;-)
...and so much more nice and humane for dealing with pits than some of my preferred and more Medieval methods (see tagline). ;-)
Smoke a pit???
