I think it was posted here last summer where either Howard Stern or Sean Hannity (I always mix those guys up) went out in the street and asked Obama voters if they agreed with Obama’s policies. They then listed John McCain’s positions, and the voters all said, “Yes, I agree with those policies.” Abortion was one of them. Probably 75% of Obama’s voters had no clue about any of his positions except that he was going to give them a pony.
Yes, I remember the Howard Stern segment. Although the ironic twist is that Stern used opposition to Embryonic Stem Cell Research as one of the ‘McCain’ positions that he attributed to ‘Obama’ - even though McCrazy sadly never took such a position. Just goes to show there’s a great deal of confusion in the body politic about what any given politician actually stands for, and our elected officials mostly go out of their way to make sure that it remains that way.
