Last fall when I read this article, it made a lasting impression on me. With Obama's election, the drumbeat is getting louder and more relentless. May God protect us from the socialists who now run our country.

This was the article that summarized everything for me..I now always refer to the drumbeat..it never ends...sigh...but we can still do something.

but we can still do something. Can we? I have tried to reach out to some to fight this but I have to say this article nails it.
Even short-lived victories, which stop it briefly, leave you with the knowledge that it will return; each minor victory bound to be lost to the redoubled efforts of this patient and persistent force.
They're out there now, even as I write this, with ACORN, news anchors, actors to achieve their goals. I don't know what we lack, organization? money? but we don't seem to be able to even slow them down.

As hopeless as it seems there is a sliver lining to this cloud! The truth is those who are beating the drum are incompetent. They live in a world that exists not because of them, but despite them. They can only beat their drum as long as there are true producers to get things done and keep the world going! They love to plan and meet and talk, but they simply lack the ability to get anything done.
They are an acutely self-limiting problem. If they get too much control then things quit working. We are seeing evidence of that now, in education and finances and etc. Despite their best intentions they don't really get anything done. Sooner or later their efforts come to naught and the hard working producers once again are in control because they are the ones with the ability to keep things going!
Of course life would be much simpler if we could short circuit these pains in the butt and go straight to what has been proved to work over centuries, like two-parent families who live within their means, but alas we're doomed to have to humor these incompetent dreamers.
Cheers!

Those that care, and that's a lot of people, need to get off their rumps and take turns for the duration marching in front of government offices, TV and radio stations, newspapers and universities and at at major intersection from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. every single day - in Washington, D.C. and every other city in America - every day, rain or shine. Every person who cares should commit to joining such an assembly at least once a month for four hours on the day of his choice.
Messages could be something like this: Attention Legislators, Judges, and Media:
Stop undermining the pillars of Western Society in what you report and what you vote on.
These are the pillars of our country: traditional marriage and family, sactify of life, capitalism, freedom of speech and freedom of the press, strong military.
Stopping the communist take-over of America is in your hands - stop the hemorrhage of our county before it's too late to get our precious country back. Free Republic could help get people together by metoropolitan area, city and/or zip code and organize this.

And that will change the minds of our interbreeding business, government and education families? I agree very much with your sentiment. But I also believe that things will have to get very much worse, before we get new blood in business, government and education. An economic crash to the point of the rabble starting new businesses and a few nuclear exchanges should do it.
I read about world events now with baited breath...or bait on my breath, even. ;-)

BTW, the media broadcast are sponsored. Those broadcasts aren't paid for by greenie-hippies and homeless veterans pooling their money to pay for them. They come from the business relatives of those who work in government, academia, etc. Please consider that.

The article is correct about the drumbeat from the left, but wrong about the matter of right and wrong. The message I get from the media is that the left is definitely good, and conservatism is bad. They certainly do leave a message about good and evil...they’re good, and we’re evil.

This needs to be bumped forever on FR. Thanks for re-posting this excellent article from 9-20-08. I feared it had disappeared from the FR archives...
