One thing that I’ve observed is that post-abortive women who vehemently justify their “right to choose” will attempt to ignore or deny the most heinous aspects, like “partial birth abortion”.
They can’t really come out and say that it’s OK to deny healthcare to an accidental abortion survivor, or that it’s OK to deliver a baby most of the way, kill it, then remove it,
but if they step up and say those things are wrong, it’s a slippery slope back down to the point where what they did was evil and wrong.
So, they’d rather deny that it happens, or ignore any evidence that it does.
I’ve seen the very same thing. I believe that nearly all post-abortive women are eventually brought face-to-face with the truth of their actions. But up to that point, many will remain in a state of denial and flatly refuse to even consider that what they have done is wrong.
I have come to understand that the most loving thing we can do is tell them that what they have done IS wrong and that killing one’s own child is among the gravest of sins and also telling them that God’s forgiveness IS ALWAYS available to them.
