Psycho-Boy has been shown that link a hundred times. He refuses to acknowledge what Michael Steele said in that interview. He'd rather bury his head in the sand hoping that Michael Steele is still "pro-life" while he actively seeks to mollify pro-abortion voters in hopes that maybe if we allow enough children to be murdered, that maybe 1 or 2 of the murderers will join the Republican party.

Spit!

Well, as far as I can tell, I'm the only one on this thread that provided that link. I am not "trying to bury my head in the sand", rather trying to understand the full content of Michael Steele's positions on various issues. That's why I provided it. I prefer to rely on more than just a soundbite from an interview. If he truly is a pro-abort type person, it will come out and I'll join you in turning my back on this nomination. I'm just not convinced at this point.

Well, as far as I can tell, I'm the only one on this thread that provided that link. I am not "trying to bury my head in the sand", rather trying to understand the full content of Michael Steele's positions on various issues.

Steele was asked a simple straight forward question on whether or not he thought that Roe v. Wade should be overturned and after a lenghty song and dance worthy of Bill Clinton, he ultimately stated that he wanted it to remain the law of the land.

I don't think even Bill Clinton on his best day could dissemble like Steele did with Russert, but ultimately Russert got him to admit that he thinks that Roe v. Wade should remain in place and not be overturned. No one who is pro-life could take that position, not even for a minute.

Now he wants to reach across the aisle and try to appeal to pro-aborts. In my mind that is like reaching across the aisle to try to lure Nazis into your party. We need to make it clear that we believe that Abortion is murder. By reaching out and trying to mollify pro-abortionists and trying to convince them that we are not as pro-life as we pretenc (and apparently we are not) then all we are doing is diluting the pro-life message and selling our souls to the devil in order to win a few votes that most likely will never come our way anyway.

Steele was the wrong man for this position and he proved it the moment he was elected. He didn't waste a minute.

Do you really trust someone who uses 100s of words to avoid a direct answer, even when pressed again & again? Russert had to squeeze it out of Steele, and his answer finally came, equivocal & pandering.

Steele tries so desperately to be all things to all people, the exact thing that has brought the GOP/RINO party to its present debacle. Now he is their token black, between a rock & hard place...how can a conservative bond with pro-infanticide, pro-homo marraige/adoption/usurpation/family destruction policy, illegal immigration and watering down of the RKBA???

Get over it; the GOP is dead, RIP. The time for the Indy Party is now, never better. AIP is strongest & growing.
