I was all set to condemn those remarks. But I just listened to the whole video.

In the video, Steele clarifies further that the GOP would NOT change its position on those two issues. He says he would reach out to those voters on “other issues” where we could agree - like economics.

So, let’s not jump the gun yet and assume the party is still headed in the wrong direction.

Good. It seems that many either didn't watch it, or took out what they wanted to prove a point that he's not the right man for this job.
