No, just a healthy revulsion for the incessant, obsessive, neurotic, “McCain-Is-An-SOB-RINO” fetish constantly polluting my beloved Free Republic.

Cedric, this not YOUR Free Republic. This is Jim Robinson's Free Republic and we're all here to read news and intelligently debate the political news of the day. It's time for the mud-slinging and threats of list creation to stop. There are people on FR that disagree with you about John McCain, and frankly there is nothing you can do to change their mind.

See I not only voted for McCain in the general, but worked on the campaign. I won't get into the specifics of what I did, but you're free to look through my previous posts if you want to learn more. If McCain lost, the commitment I made to myself was that I would work hard to limit his influence over the next two years and work for a candidate in the GOP primaries to defeat him for 2010.

See McCain is a bigger problem to Republicans than most care to admit or even understand. John McCain has been selected by the MSM to be the voice of the party because he is one of the most liberal and willing to work with their party - liberal Democrats. He is a public relations tool and all involved in the charade knows it. See McCain is used by the Democrat party to show "bipartisan support" for legislation. He's also used to gather his team of "RINOs" and be involved in big government initiatives that keep Washington regulars in power.

Considering the average American voter doesn't know the difference between McCain and traditional conservative values, they just take the charade on face value and accept that the Republican party is on-board with whatever is being pimped at the time. This is especially dangerous to the GOP, because it muddies the water between ideological differences not just between the two parties, but also between conservatives and liberals.

I have a long background in marketing and PR. McCain is one of the Democrat party's greatest marketing tools. But don't only think he does this because he wants the MSM to desperately love him (although his ego does), he is paid handsomely for it. Spend some time on Newsmeat or Open Secrets. Dig around and you'll find some of his biggest individual and PAC financial supporters over the years are the same of newsworthy Democrats.

I realize from this thread that you have a problem with those who wouldn't vote for McCain in the general. But now that the general is over and McCain lost, the time has come to look for alternatives to him in the Senate. And don't think this objective is an aside from disagreeing with the Obama administration and the Democrat-controlled House and Senate. I can "walk and chew gum at the same time," and it is expected the RNC can as well.
