I didn’t know about the Jessica Simpson thing; but as a woman, let me say I find that remark totally and 100% offensive. First of all, millions of women battle eating disorders, and the percentages are astronomically high in Hollyweird as it is. I’m not a Jessica Simpson fan (Thanks for ruining my team, the Cowboys, Jess); but quite honestly it is inappropriate for the President of the United States to be saying “someone is having issues with their weight”...especially when that President was propped up by the original yo-yo dieter, 0-prah.
Secondly, US weekly is a tabloid that focuses on pop culture not “breaking news” so his offense at being “knocked off” demonstrates how much of his own hype this asshole has come to believe.
Rush was right - we are so screwed.
Yeah, I wonder how his comments would have gone over if he had called the 200 pound Okra fat. I know a number of women battling their weight, my wife included. She is making progress, but it is slow.
I think it is going to come back to bite him. There already was a big stink with the pop culture crowd on the internet arguing that the smears on Jessica had gone too far. Women’s groups are ‘up in arms’ about the negative press coverage of Jessica(I am not a fan either btw) for all of the reason’s you cited. And then what does our new POTUS do?
He lowers the office by jumping into the middle of it and slamming Jessica too!
LOL..bad move!
