>>>Be a man Gregg, and stand your ground.<<<

You ask too much - he's a Republican. Ground standers in that group are few and far between.

....Snow, McCain, Graham - it's a long list.

“Affiliate?”

Bernie Sanders affiliates with the GOP too. He’s a socialist. They are republicans. And they are affiliated as U.S. Senators.

What a joke.

Gregg is mud in NH GOP cirlces if he accepts. And a hero if he declines.

Your call Gregg.

Maybe Sen Gregg would like to stake say..maybe his home and Congressional pension on this matter. This is the d@mned dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of. Sure, I’ll caucus with the Republicans, but I’ll just vote like Susan Collins and voila, another vote for the RATS on every key piece of legislation.

I was under the impression that Republicans Ray LaHood at Transportation and Bob Gates at the Pentagon were already in the Obama cabinet.
On the up side, it would be good to have a Republican, even a RINO at Commerce because the 2010 US Census will be under the control of the Commerce Department and the census is of vital importance to redistricting and deciding which voters go in which districts for the 2012 national election.

Everyone is missing the point here. Who cares?

The Dems had a "REAL" 60-vote majority on any given bill at any time with 3-4 RINOS. Get real: one of the following---Collins, or Snowe, or Voinovich, or Gregg, or even McCain---would vote with the Dems for cloture on any particular bill. I say, let 'em go.

I'd much rather have a minority of 30 reliable votes than a "majority of 55" who never seem to vote as a majority. And I choose my words with care. I'm not saying I don't want a majority, but a majority that isn't disciplined and unified is no majority at all . . . as the Dems are about to find out.

This may well be one of the best things to happen to us, because up to this point, the Dems could still claim that "we" were blocking their grand schemes. There is absolutely no excuse now, and the "moderate" Dems, like Nelson/Nelson and a couple of others are going to be under great pressure from their voters to break from the loonies, since they can't rely on the GOP to cover for them.

“Affiliate” is right. Gov. Lynch would likely appoint Walter Peterson, an 86 year old “Republican” former Governor who would likely be one of the most liberal US Senators, regardless of party affiliation. Also, he would decline to run for reelection in 2010, opening the door for Senator Carol Shea-Porter (Maoist-NH).

How could someone who pretends to call themselves Republican become commerce secretary for a socialist? Aren’t there some differences you just can’t overcome? Unless you were lying all along.

That was Bill Cohen, RINO, Maine, and he was pretty far left by the time he joined Clinton. David Gergen had worked for Reagan, but he had gone lefty pretty much by the time he went to work for Clinton, too, based on the opinions he was spewing by then. I think he left Reagan because he had gone lefty.

Simple minded people are easily turned to the dark side.
