Obama: Wall Street 'Arrogance and Greed' Won't Be Tolerated (yea, yea, whatever Obama!)

President Obama, usually cool, was visibly angry in his weekly address, chastising corporate bankers for the second time this week for accepting taxpayer bailout money and then doling out $18 billion in executive bonuses.

"The American people will not excuse or tolerate such arrogance and greed," Obama said in the video and radio message released today. "Even as they petitioned for taxpayer assistance, Wall Street firms shamefully paid out nearly $20 billion in bonuses for 2008."

Administration officials challenged a report in The Washington Post that suggested Obama was unlikely to tighten restrictions on compensation for banks that accept bailout funds, saying the report was "simply untrue."

White House and Treasury officials said the president will soon crack down on those big bonuses, shareholder enrichment and overall accountability.

Banking executives have long argued that they need to pay bonuses to retain quality executives.

I'm having trouble figuring out that if such greed is prevalent on Wall Street then why do they need a bailout?

Hey Obama, we’re p.o.’d about how you’re plundering the Treasury to pay the keep the Democrats indefinitely in power. Putting Party first before the country. It’s the Democrat way.

"yea, yea" isn't that first thought that comes to my mind... with Pelosi and Reid controlling Congress, I'm confident that they're actually stupid enough to follow through on moronic platitudes like these. It should make the reader recoil in fear, not give a dismissive wave.

The American people will not excuse or tolerate...[snip]... arrogance and greed.

Spoken by a man who is intimately familiar with both.

Uhhh because they’re greedy? Because after years of privatizing their profits they’ll jump at the opportunity to socialize their losses?

Pardon my rewrite:
President Obama, usually cool, was visibly angry in his weekly address, chastising himself for spending $80 million for his Coronation...er that is...Inauguration and denouncing the 40 or so rich democrats that flew in to DC for the event and extravagant parties on their private jets.

"The American people will not excuse or tolerate such arrogance and greed," Obama said in the video and radio message released today. "Even after I told the American people they can't eat all they want, I gave a dinner where I served steak that cost almost $400 a pound. After all, I won!"

Administration officials challenged a report in The Washington Post that suggested Obama was unlikely to tighten restrictions on his "spending like he is royalty" saying the report was "simply untrue."

White House and Treasury officials said the president will soon crack down on those who waste money on opulence, starting with the White House.

Then they added "LOL LOL"

Being from Hawaii/Kenya though, he will still work in shirt sleeves in the Oval Office as the temperature must be maintained at 78 degrees for him to feel at home.

Present "Marie Antoinette" 0bama was quoted as saying "Let them (not) eat steak", I'll take on that task.
