Bush gets standing O (The O doesnt stand for Oprah or Obama)
January 31, 2009[edit]
After bashing former President Bush for the last eight years, this isnt a story youre likely to see on the evening news.
The former President and his wife Laura attended the big womens basketball game between No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 4 Baylor Wednesdays game.
As they entered the arena with Lady Bears coach Kim Mulkey,...

Nice....I miss him.
The further away from the coasts that you get, the classier the people.
Those were the days!! A man truly worthy of our respect. I miss him so much.
What a weak standing O. People 20 feet from him totally ignoring him and just chatting with each other instead.
Oh, well...I guess ya gotta celebrate what you can get.
Texans know their heroes and don’t forget them!
BTTT
perhaps, we in Texas will be the first to secede when the USA goes bankrupt & GWB wll be our President again.
I’m sure the rest of the south & Midwest will join in.
I’m sure the NE & California libs won’t want a fight because things will be different this time. Plus they’re chumps anyways.
this time it really will be brother against brother since people have moved around so much, me included. Hopefully we’ll open our doors for a short while for fellow patriots to join us.
Brings tears to my eyes. In my heart, he is still my President.
Ever the putz.
Waco also showed up in force to welcome them home inauguration night. Much good will for them around here.
God Bless George and Laura Bush, Welcome Home . . . we Texans love you!!!
I am glad. He is a good man.
Please keep my name on that list!!! :o)
You surely have gondring nailed.
Two weeks ago there was an article in People about Laura and of course, there were the usual s&*((y comments about W. Today I was SHOCKED that they printed two very compimentary letters to the editor about Pres and Mrs Bush! Heck, maybe even that liberal rag is missing them....I sure as hell am!
An arena full of Texas Baptists.

That's not a very respectful term for the man, even if he did throw away our Republic's future by sinking an economy, distorting a generation's view of conservatism, destroying a political party (GOP), and setting up the election of a socialist executive with overwhelming far-left legislative houses.
You might be happy with this legacy he's left, with our country reeling, but some of us love America and hate what has happened to her. While President Bush could have been worse, and I don't want to claim he is personally a bad man, the long-term damage wouldn't have been so bad if he had referred to himself "nanny-state corporatist" instead of "compassionate conservative," as well as kept his campaign promises.
You, ototh, are simply a putz who has never learned to respect his betters. And I might add a liberal putz who supports rights for jihadists reserved for American citizens and uniformed combatants.
Have a nice day!
So long as you live with this delusion, we are going to have a single party state under the democrats. The late administration should be little mourned. Think up some new ideas relevant to getting us out of this mess for a change.
