Judd Gregg (Whore, NH)...according to FNC’s interview with the editor of a NH newspaper, Gregg’s replacement is likely to be a liberal, Obama-endorsing RINO.

What kind of Republican do you think Gov. Lynch would choose? A real conservative? Even somebody as conservative as Greg? Puhleez!

So how much is this senate seat worth on the open market?

Obama is putting “buy American” restrictions on all companies with US contracts.

Dang I hate to say this but I think that's the right thing to do! Certainly it is a moral and economic imperative for our populace to follow. Yes I understand the damages that might be wrought because of such action. I teach economics. But still....

No, the buy American restriction will only ensure more government waste and inflated prices, trigger a trade war, and cause US companies to lose global contracts.

You can’t pull back to an earlier time, when the US was the top producer. Manufacturing uses too much energy and burns too much carbon. The greenies won’t even let you return to those times. The Greenies want us to all work at jobs like McDonalds and be happy with those jobs because the government will take care of all our needs and we can live in little apartments in the city and walk to work.

While I unhappily agree with your second paragraph, I fail to understand this: No, the buy American restriction will only ensure more government waste and inflated prices, trigger a trade war, and cause US companies to lose global contracts.

Not necessarily if the government keeps it's long nose out of the market and extends the phrase "buy American" to include foreign companies that have factories here in the states. I'm not too concerned about US companies losing global contracts because too many of them are doing business with our enemies! Inflation is always going to be present because money is debt. Sad fact of life ever since FDR took us off the gold standard. I guess I don't get the government waste part IF the government keeps it's nose out of the free market process. Of course our legal tender laws and THE FED have already entwined our society and governmental functions into a dirty meld with what has now become only a quasi market economy. But still, can you explain government waste in the light of a truly free economy (notwithstanding the machinations of the Central Banks)?

There is NO more American to buy. You don’t understand. The green idiots have driven all the manufacturing out of the country, except for the auto industry, which they are over regulating until no one wants to buy what they sell.

It’s the green nazis that are to blame for the off shoring. They regulated manufacturing until, when combined with union demands, it was unprofitable to manufacture anything in the US. In my county, the greens have driven out Georgia Pacific, they are driving out an aluminum smelter, they have driven out the loggers, the fishers (except for the Indians)and are working on killing off the dairy farms. You are blaming the wrong people for the economic problems.

Yes, the Rats really want his Senate seat, but they also would like a Republican in the Commerce seat to take all the flak from the Obama protectionism. Can you imagine, having a Republican defend the Obama trade policy and trying to negotiate trade deals at the same time? This appointment is a real Trojan Horse for Republicans.

Great point! Thank you for the reply! It’s “bipartisan” so the Republicans can take the heat for the mess.

I’m beginning to think that the real reason that Richardson resigned wasn’t because of his legal problems, but because he saw the job as a no win situation.

Sorry the first and last sentences seem most appropriate for an answer.

The greenies aren't the ones who pushed for NAFTA & GATT. That was the globalists. The greenies just reaped so many benefits it's easy to look past the darkness of the NWO/NAU and see the glaring nuttiness of the greens and blame them, because the reality of the other is too horrible to contemplate.

You say they regulated manufacturing to the point it was driven offshore. Do you really think this lonely splinter group has such power on their own? I'll bet the number of really hard core greens numbers well less than a million. Takes a lot more than those kind of tiny numbers to make a dent in federal regulations! Especially in the fairly short time periods here. The greenies have some serious horsepower backing them. The kind of power that's spelled C.F.R. and Bilderberg.

The greenies aren't the head of the snake. They're the lackys of the globalists. In this New World Order they are rapidly creating, all mainstream religion will be pushed out or crushed. The new religion is going to be the greenies. Eventually (sooner rather than later in my estimation now) when the antichrist takes power, HE will claim to be the creator of the greens (and everything else) so he will become the focal point for the movement and NO I don't think the antichrist is Obama.

Lonely splinter group? Are you kidding? The greenies are a collection of every far left splinter group behind one issue that they chose to demagogue because it had the capability to put people on an emotional guilt trip that nothing else did. The Democrat Party and the greenies are one and the same. The only element that the Democrat elite missed was that most of their efforts were in conflict with the blue collar union voters. So, they had Obama saying one thing and his commerce adviser (Goolsby) saying the opposite. So, the union voters could believe Obama was supporting them (they were right) and the limosine liberals could believe what Goolsby said.

As for not having power, it’s not the Greenies who have the power, it’s the politicians using the Green movement for cover. I’ve seen it, up close and personal in my own county. The greenies drove out the manufacturing jobs and made the statement that the workers will just have to move else where to find a job. I’m not kidding, that was their reaction, as printed in the newspaper.

You can be sure that the caretaker even if Republican will be a Democratic Sympathizer. I fear Ruddman will get it.

No, you said that the Greens, better known as the enviro-nazis, didn’t have the power to drive manufacturing overseas.

There was an article on WSJ, the other day, detailing how the enviro-nazis were largely responsible for California’s budget woes, and warning the rest of the country not to go down that road.

I think we said the same thing different ways.
