Kicked all the relatives out last night when the electricity came back on!
Some folks are sure dumber than bricks/rocks. I was talking to a guy who lives around the corner from us. He was complaining about loosing all the food in his freezer. They had a kerosene heater and kept the house at a nice toasty 70. He didn’t think that the temps were well below freezing until yesterday and all he had to do was put the food outside on the North side of his house out of the sun.
The answers are all around em yet they havn’t a clue.....:o)

Well, DUH, calex59! OF COURSE, we are being SARCASTIC about the Obamassiah and the ongoing saga of the MSM ignoring and excusing him and any inaction of his that President Bush would have been castigated about by them! - Most of us on FR find that we do not need the Gubmint to “fix” every little problem that comes along. DU visitors among us will never understand, and I realize that we can’t always tell which of the posters on FR are DU visitors pulling our legs.
The whole point of my comment was that some people on FR seem to think(and more than there should be)that the threads are meant as a call to the government to take over the ice storm rescue. I realize that many know why these threads are posted but many raise hell about FReepers wanting fema to interfere instead of letting local people and local government to take care of it. The proof of the pudding is that the vast majority of replies agree with my post, yours is the only dissent. :) Have a great day!

I said the same thing you said. Of course, I certainly was not saying that Obama should have done diddly; just that there had been a double-standard with the media’s treatment of “Bush”. Obama is immune from any media criticism.

Check the stats-42 people from different states. The reason the people in Kentucky are stuck is because the small towns are inaccessible due to downed trees and ice. The national guard does not have chain saws.

This ice storm is nothing. Next time, fuel oil will be too expensive to purchase. The so-called president has promised that. And coal companies will be extinct.
I only see the arrogance and immaturity. I have distant relatives who are black and that’s why I have never seen the color in Obama.

I would have loved it had he been a Conservative.

I have close relatives that are black but he and the MSM throw his color up so often, I can’t help but see it.
Funny though, my sister, nieces and Great-nephews have skin that is dark and African roots, but I never see them as different than me. Go figure.

When a white Republican is President and the disaster affects blacks, the media are all over the story 24/7. They report FEMA is incompetent and uncaring, and attribute both to racism.
When a black Democrat is President and the disaster affects whites, the media is silent and FEMA is "doing a great job."
The only thing consistent about the media is their bias.
