More Anti-Gun Bills Introduced This Week in New York! |
Friday, January 30, 2009 |
In addition to the laundry list of anti-gun bills introduced in the New York State Legislature last week, several more anti-gun bills have been introduced in Albany.
Please contact your State Assembly Member today at (518) 455-4100 and respectfully urge him or her to vote "NO" on these NRA-opposed measures. To find your Assembly Member, click here. We will keep you alerted as to when firearm-related legislation is introduced. Please continue to check www.NRAILA.org and your e-mail for updates throughout the legislative session. |
All of this is really a bunch of completely idiotic totalitarian bullshit, but this one is just stands out to me. Why ban "frangible" ammo(I'm assuming this is ammo that fragments)? That's literally the safest ammo there is. It doesn't pass through walls or even people, accidentally hitting third parties. It's even safe to use on airplanes. Yet another example of these power-mad airbrain politicians regulating something they haven't a clue about.
These idiots probably think it’s designed just for criminals to avoid an imaging match with the rifling.
What else is new...
Expect to see scores of these types of bills popping up all across the country now that the anti-gunners are running it. Just wait until the next school shooting and Congress will gladly join in the act.
No, frangible ammo doesn’t mean stuff that fragments.
Frangibles are basically metal dust glued together into a bullet. When it hits something solid it doesn’t fragment, it disintegrates.
It’s great for anything close range or where you don’t want overpenetration/ricochets like taking out door locks, and of course self-defense, which is the reason they want it outlawed. Ban any tool that makes it easier or safer to defend yourself from thugs on the street or your family from break-ins...
Be sure to read: Andrew Cuomo and Fannie and Freddie, How the youngest HUD secretary caused the mortgage crisis
Cuomo played both sides against the middle, i.e. he pandered to ACORN, NACA, etc. as well as bankers, Wall Street, etc.
FReepmail me if you want on or off my New York ping list.
Leftist city boys want to impose their will on everyone else; they propose this cr*p and then preen for the TV and newspapers so their Leftist, urban constituents will vote for them again next time around.
Pure ambition, and to h*ll with honesty, justice, American tradition, and the the Constitution. Legislators of the “Me Generation.” Shameful.
From my cold dead fingers.
I suspect sooner rather than later we the little people are going to revolt.
That’s why they’re trying to disarm us.
Thanks for the ping!
It sounds like you are guilty until you can prove yourself innocent about hidden compartments with any evidence of contraband.
So if you have a registered firearm, and if you own a vehicle without a trunk, if you bolt a gunvault or even a lockable toolbox to the interior of your vehicle, and if you get stopped on the way to the range, you have to go to court and stand trial to prove you were legally carrying in the locked, bolted down compartment?
The question is if the compartment is hidden or it is obvious. The cops have cameras. A defense lawyer can demand that the jury can inspect the vehicle. I'm not a lawyer, but it strikes me as a presumption of guilt for any hidden compartment with evidence of contraband.
Ya gotta love New York..
Don’t smoke.
Don’t eat satuated fats.
Don’t drink Pepsi.
Don’t have a gun.
We’ll make a brand new start of it..New York..New York./s
