It’s retarded to write off a whole region on the country, people trapped in currently demosludge areas don’t appreciate that.

A national party must exist in the whole nation. All 50 states.

Dean and the democraps learned this well.

As to Steele (did you know he’s sister was married to Iron Mike Tyson?) I’ve been torn on the final ballot, Dawson was also a very good candidate though Steele is the better talker which is part of job until 2012 when we have a POTUS nominee. Given the crap “leadership” in Congress (ok good job on the “porkulus” vote Boehner..) Steele can be regarded as the leader of the party until then. The party really needs a leader.

I’m sure the scum late night comedians will be amused and call it reaction to Obama. I really wish someone like Steele was the first black President instead of African/White Marxist Obama.

Thank goodness Mike Duncan is gone, everyone who voted for him on the first ballot should be expelled from their position. Contrary to CW at least he did not place first, leading to his dropping out.

When Steele was running for Senate in 2006, Obama visited Prince George County to rally support for Cardin. Obama said, “Its great that Republicans know blacks exist in America.”

The media will repeat that line about Steele.

I wish I could be excited about this selection, but I’m afraid I’m not. Steele was near the bottom in my preference (only Duncan and Anuzis were openly worse in sheer incompetence). His closeness to the RINO problem is readily apparent, his association with Christie Whitman (one of the singlemost disastrous and destructive RINO Governors of the past 30 years) and his endorsement of ex-Congressman Gilchrest (who is now a Democrat by all accounts) over Andy Harris (when Bob Ehrlich, who was once considered more lib than Steele, endorsed Harris) was very troubling and solidified my worries that he was on the wrong side. Katon Dawson was the most accomplished and successful of the candidates, and Blackwell of OH was my 2nd preference (and he aggressively went after the RINO cancer in Ohio that has crippled the party there). Steele will have to prove himself from his very recent errors and inclinations. I fear the worst, but I hope to be proven wrong.
