i m a publik scewl teechur. I question myself everyday. It is heartbreaking. I became an educator because I love educating. I did not become a teacher for June, July and August. I don’t know what to do.
It’s a shame our public schools are in the shape they’re in. It’s been over sixty years since I started school but can still remember many fine teachers, our kids had some but fewer. My daughter has home schooled her three and they can think for themselves and haven’t been indoctrinated. The oldest will start college shortly and I’m anxious to see how she’ll handle lib profs.
Are there any Conservative Teachers’ Activism groups you could join? Perhaps working with other Conservative teachers across the country would allow you all to trade ideas of how to fight against these things in your own classrooms, and school districts. I have no idea if these already exist (I would think they do), but this may be something to consider.
The liberals have the Teachers’ Union, and I know that within the union getting your voice heard would be hard. But, if we take a page from the Socialists’ playbook, and teachers start taking action on a “grassroots” level it may help. I’m pretty sure that at least in the more rural school districts you may find yourselves with grateful parents ready to back you up as well...
Again, I don’t know how feasible this would be, but I just thought I’d throw this out there for you to consider...
I’ll be praying for you - as I do all teachers, everyday. I just can’t imagine your frustration!
>>I became an educator because I love educating.
Good, and I bet you’re not alone. Unfortunately, the collective will to liberate the school system doesn’t exist within the ranks of the educators.
