Hate to say it, but President Bush was in the way.
Too little. Too late.
Better to be on offense than defense. They fumbled the ball for too long.
Now, totally on the outs, they want to play pit-poodle.
The division began in the mid-1990s when, after the failure that was Clinton’s first year and losing congress to the Republican “revolution”, he succesfully convinced the voting public that talk radio was to blame for the OKC bombing and that those who wanted to limit the powers of government were “antigovernment anarchists” who posed the single greatest threat to America.
He was on his way to being a one term president. OKC turned that around for him.
Hillary blamed her scandals on a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.
The nation was divided and it was the Clintons who did the dividing.
They need to do more than oppose. They need to point out the garbage in the Democrats bill and also the reasoning behind their own alternative bill. Then people will begin to see that the Republicans stand for a totally different world view and the logic behind it.
NOTHING will improve unless we destroy the ACORNS — professional criminal gangs of haters that lie, cheat, steal, and threaten their way to power. Hello? Hello? Obama is putting in place a permanent organized crime establishment that absolutely guarantees the Libs will remain in power for 100 years. Hello? Hello? Where the hell are conservatives to fund our lawyers to fight this?
Be skeptical. Rush just reporting the Gang of 14 firing up to get a bill passed.
RINO Treachery on parade. They will tell us it is the best they can do to make it better.
I want to see some relentless, smashmouth politics coming from these guys.
Who knows? I may eventually reopen my checkbook that’s been closed and placed in a lockbox for the past three years.
Good point.
Day’s late and too many dollars short........
and as to the idea of inferring race and minorities as a problem for the Republicans
From the article...>> “Republicans are not just lacking minorities in party leadership positions, but also among elected officials and voters themselves.
The problem isn't about minorities!!!.....Its the PHILOSOPHY of the minorities that keep them from the Republican party....
Would they feel better if Charlie Rangle or Maxine Waters called themselves republicans without changing their philosophy??
About damn time. I think they finally realized we aren’t going to take it anymore. Represent us, or get voted out. We don’t need RINOS.
Yes! The real Republican Party.
