Once again they have it all wrong.

1) Disband all unions first. This will bring wages and additional compensation into line with a free market economy.
2) Do not require buying American, Incentivize it, particularly on the business to business level of manufacturing. reduce corporate tax burdens and regulations.
3) Write a constitutional amendment stating that the United States can not own or operate private commercial businesses. No government controlled businesses.

With the way we are goin,g the state is going to own everything, and then they want us to be their customers. Excuse me but F&^K That!

Sounds like a good provision to a really bad bill.

What is the point in going 1 trillion in debt only to hand the money off to a foreign company?

I’m confused.
The State of TX already operates under a By America system of purchasing. When bidding a Non-Domestic product one must be at least 25% cheaper than the lowest Domestic bid, before it can be awarded.

Exactly. Good points.

I think we will see Bambi using this “Buy American” stuff because it sounds good and will enable him to take over more of the means of production. Once the collective farms and factories are in place, there will be no choice but to “Buy American.”

People are going to fall for this protectionism stuff, though, without a doubt. Renegotiate trade agreements with other countries, make sure they are not barring our goods (and Europe in particular is famous for that), but don’t try to function as an autarchy.

"The European Commission on Thursday said it might challenge such a move if it were signed into law."

They shouldn't bother. Most Americans have had enough of the trade imbalance schemes by traitorous sneak-thief lobbies. Besides,...

* Currencies must equalize. ...can't employ third world slaves indefinitely without the prices of their labors eventually rising.

* Freight fuel will go up again.

* Our leaders have run out of schemes for supporting their game of foreign subsidies (bribes) for inhibiting domestic production. The "housing bubble" was the last. We may be heading into a depression.

* I can live just fine without Euro-junk.

There's more, but I'm going to keep that to myself for now. Our situation is not completely new.

"Disband all unions first. This will bring wages and additional compensation into line with a free market economy."

But our bosses don't want to disband women's unions like the NEA and other unions for government offices.

I've got mixed feelings about that. Outside my office building, the street is lined with cast iron sewer lids. They look to be about 80 or so lbs. each, and stamped “Made in Bombay India.” When things have gotten to a point where we don't even make our own sewer lids anymore because our cities find it's cheaper to have them shipped in from the far side of the world, something is terribly wrong. A requirement to “buy American” isn't going to fix it.

That would be like stopping the big lumber mills and developers from sending their false environmentalist front-hags to shut down small mills and builders in local government meetings (seen that and exposed them in person). Building too many houses for the rabble is bad for the environment, and having too many rednecks like me running around in public is an eyesore to our sensitive superiors.

Can you spot you union label?

Free trade is the world’s answer, not worker’s unions.

This has nothing to do with “worker’s unions”, Comrade.

It has to do with the fact that when you buy American made goods Americans work whether they’re in a union or not!

gezzzzzzzzzzzzz...it ain’t rocket science!

Hell, you can’t even buy American from the state next door to you without hitting trade barriers. Buy a car in another state with a lower tax, and the state you live in with a higher tax will expect you to make up the tax difference as a “use” tax. Let’s get rid of our own trade barriers first.

We’re nothing more than slaves on the federal, state and local levels.

Yes it has everything to do with the Democrat’s pay back to the unions.

gezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ... Buy a clue.

It also causes trade wars.

No you “buy a clue”, Comrade.

Only 12% of American workers belong to a trade union.
