Just because Hamas or other shiites were VOTED into office doesn't mean democracy is for everyone...

And I suspect the only acceptable definition of “terrorism” is whatever is done by Israelis or Westerners. Just like Blacks are incapable of discriminating, so Arabs will be considered incapable of committing terrorism when they are “just following their faith”.

Obama must rethink definition of Mideast terror

He already rethought his view on terrorism in the "stimulus" bill: $4.8 billion for defense, $1.1 billion for homeland security, but $171.4 billion for Labor-HHS.

In the good old days, when the Turks ruled the Arabs, whenever the Arabs would make trouble, the Turks would send out their army, which would indiscriminately slaughter thousands of Arab men, women and children. Then they would leave. This would calm the Arabs for a few decades.

It worked for several hundred years. But I’m a bit surprised they want us to adopt their old technique.

So shooting rockets at random into civilian areas isn’t terrorism anymore? Gosh, that’s swell...

I can’t wait to hear the Obama definition of terrorism. I assume it involves bulldozers and pastries.

Erdogan, whose country has played a key role in trying to mediate among Israel and Syria and the Palestinians, said Obama's new Mideast envoy, George Mitchell, would be in Turkey for talks Sunday.

Whoopsie, why am I not surprised? Mitchell is a 75 year old Democrat retread who describes himself as Arab American (his father was an ethnic Irish American janitor and his mom was a Lebanese immigrant).

Mitchell loves to cite his Arab American background, and if one thing is for certain, he's no friend to Israel.

That’s right. The parastate of Turkey should be included on the list of terror sponsoring states finally. They are the worst terror state anywhere in the world.

Islamofascist Erdogan needs to start pointing the bloody finger at himself.

Erdogan dealt out Turkey, himself, and his political party, by promising the US would be able to use those bases for the liberation of Iraq, then having his partisans in the unicameral Grand National Assembly turn us down. His idea of rethinking involves removing Hamas and the Hizzies from the list of terrorist organizations, and talking to them and to the dictator of Syria. Syrian policy hasn’t changed — no talks with Israel until Israel withdraws unconditionally from the Golan Hts, which Syria had *always* used to shell Israel’s towns in the north. To Hell with Erdogan, Turkey, Syria, Hamas, Hizbollah, and Iran.
