The vote was unanimous. Rod is no longer the Governor of Illinois.
Will she have better hair than Rod? After all, they are Democrats and that is a major requirement.
Well, you bundle up when you go outside, that’s for sure. And you start your cars early and let them heat up, also to get the frost off the windows so you don’t have to scrape as much. The dog does his thing right outside the back door next to the sidewalk. That way all he has to do is turn around and run back inside. At least it makes for easy cleanup, and you can really see where the yellow snow is...
Fortunately, we bought a new snow blower this year so we’re prepared. And a neighbor with a plow on the front of his pickup does our driveway so we only have to worry about the sidewalks around us (and him, of course).
I work weekends at a store chain in the midwest that sells farm and vehicle products. It pays for my seasonal golf. The customer service desk is right by the entry and the ladies who man the desk have to wear their winter coats all day long what with traffic through the doorway. And this place has an enclosed entry, but it faces North and the winds do blow...
We’ve had snow on the ground since November 30th. I doubt it’ll go away this year anytime soon. The roads and streets are pretty clear, and the snow is iced over now so there’s little concern with blowing, that is until the next new snowfall. But that will come, sure as shootin’.
I made that trip in about 1959 I was 19 years old and going to join my new husband in Cape May NJ where he was stationed in the USCG.
I think back then trains were a whole different thing. At least my Dad says so (and now refuses to even ride Amtrak because he hated trains when the military moved him around via rail). lol
Hopefully Blago will be heard. in full. :)
LOL..Great Pic of Rod!
I remember I had my own room, a couch to sit on in the daytime and a bed folded down to sleep on at night. Real sheets and my own tiny bathroom. It was pretty nice.
I have to admit I love the train. Now someone will come here and call me a liberal! ;)
Yes, he’s been acting really crazy lately. At least he has a sense of humor. I am waiting for him to appear on Dancing with the Stars.
Hasta la vista alligator...lol.
I was listening to the radio on how the state government can now work together. My 1st thought was we are royally scr*wed.
There is already talks of an income tax increase.
Sorry I didn’t direct that at you directly just to the salmonella tainted Peanut Gallery in general...
I wasn’t able to see him live, and just caught clips of him later.
However, from what little I saw, I’d say he was totally bizarre!
Thank you for your kind sentiments, potlatch!
I’ve missed you, too.
Thank you ever so much, Spunky!
The Lord was a great comfort for everyone in the family.
I don’t know how non-believers get through such painful times.
Thank you so much, Jane.
Though we haven’t formally “met” yet, your kind thoughts reinforces the fact that FReepers are the best!
Well...most of ‘em, anyway. ;o)
Bump dat!! Lol.
