Wishy-washy, flippy-floppy Arlen Specter rides again.
On Wednesday, Pennsylvania's senior U.S. senator, a Philadelphia Republicrat and the party's senior member on the Judiciary Committee, voted for the confirmation of Attorney General-designate Eric Holder.

Oh yea....Keep voting these losers in and keep getting what we been getting.
I highly recommend millions of freedom-loving Americans call these RINO Liberals; tell them what you think of their treachery. I highly recommend billboards in their home states exposing their treachery and asking the citizens if their wish is to live in a Liberal dictatorship or if they want to live in freedom. If they want to live in freedom, then recommend they vote these scum out of office.
Anyone paying attention stopped taking this idiot seriously after he voted “not proven”.
Second your comments! Specter needs to retire like yesterday!
And let's not forget Jorge Bush's failure to support Toomey in the PA Republican primary against Specter despite Specter's history of sandbagging Bush prior to that event.
Will Republicans ever learn?
This one IS Bush’s fault. He supported this turd the last time he ran for re-election.
The House Republicans yesterday have thrown down the gauntlet. They will define the future of the Republican party as having some gonads to oppose what is not right. Contrary to what the Reverend Lowry stated, "When white embraces what is right", the Republicans have done just that by sending a clear message that will not go along to get along.
This is a new day for Republicans and I for one am enthused by the events of yesterday. I can say I expect them to continue this loyal opposition thus paving the way for a successful 2010 and 2012....
If only Toomay could have won.
Specter - George W’s Choice, must go.
He is a PERFECT example of how the Republican Party is FAILING America and FAILING its constituents.
Let him run as a Democrat. That’s what he is, always was, and always will be.
Specter is indeed an example of the failings of the Bush-Rove team. So was Martinez and a number of others.
The Reagan conservatives have to take back the GOP or establish another political party to blow the Dems AND the GOP out of the water.
Its the ONLY hope for America and western civilization.
Pat Toomey may be running for governor in 2010 and I think he has a decent shot. He's done a bang-up job with Club for Growth. There are other Republicans who might take on Specter. State Senator Joseph B. Scarnati, who is also our present Lt. Governor, might be one. He seems like a genuinely decent guy and played a major role in blowing the whistle on the pay-raise scandal.
Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Rendell incapcitated from overeating or speeding and forced to step down. Then Scarnati runs for re-election and Toomey is convinced to take Specter on in a rematch. This time, I think he would beat him. A lot of RINOs have already jumped to the jackass party. The SW part of our state actually gave Oba Mao fewer votes in 2008 than Kerry in 2004.
Maybe next election cycle we can get back to fronting real conservatives that don't stab us in the back on everything that really matters.
I heard Toomey is considering a gubernatorial run. That would make me happy, too. And....if a senator needs to be replaced for any reason, he would be able to appoint someone.
There’s more than one way to skin this cat.
If that is true, then how is Toomey going to beat him?
Why is Santorum so toxic, given that Bush is not in the picture?
Toomey is a better campaigner and is well-liked by the blue collar crowd (his former district votes RAT by default so long as the RAT can convince the sheeple he is a moderate). Both Santorum and Specter give the distinct impression that they come from the Country Club wing of the Republican Party. Specter gets away with it because he's from Philadelphia and votes with the unions. Plus the jackasses have never run a very formidable candidate against him. Why should they when Arlen votes with them so much?
I loved Santorum. Sadly, I’m afraid he committed political suicide by campaigning so hard for this clown in order to defeat Toomey.
