President Bush takes in Baylor women's game 5 hours ago
WACO, Texas (AP) Former President George W. Bush attended the Baylor women's basketball game against Oklahoma on Wednesday in one of his first public appearances since returning to his Crawford ranch.

Bush and his wife, Laura, walked onto the court with Baylor coach Kim Mulkey after the former president addressed the team before the game. As soon as Bush and Mulkey emerged from the tunnel, without any introduction, the crowd stood and broke into loud applause.
The Bushes then took their seats in the first row behind the bench.
"This is our first outing since I left the presidency and I can't think of a better place," Bush said.
When the Bushes were introduced during the first timeout 4:03 into the game, somebody screamed "We love you, George Bush" and there was another loud ovation. He smiled and waved.
The Baylor campus is about 25 miles from the Bush ranch in Crawford, where the Bushes have been staying since last week when President Barack Obama took office.
When Baylor won the NCAA championship in 2005, Bush called Mulkey to congratulate the team and later hosted the Lady Bears at the White House.

I miss him so bad.
Even I, who have had less than kind things to say about him the last 4 years, will say that I miss him given the incompetence of the Obamanation.
He so deserves the accolades ... and reclaiming his own life. The country nowhere near came near appreciating (or, I daresay) deserving what he did for us.
I’m convinced history will be kind to G.W. Bush and will recognize his strengths. I miss him and his family and wish them all the best.
Nice to see the President getting a warm welcome from his fellow Texans. The Demonrats have a lot to answer for in their vicious behavior.
welcome back Mr President Bush
I’ve always told my yankee friends & family, we are a different country here in Texas.
I miss him and hope he has a great retirement.

Funny how much I learned to loathe this man over the years and how much I miss him now.

Glad to see him (and Laura) are getting some respect. They truly deserve it.
Same here
A lot to answer and I am more than willing to do the questioning and accusing for the next 4 years.
Sad you chose to believe the false propaganda.
I wonder what happened with that Dallas home he was getting?
My impression was that it was still being “fortressed” up and that they were staying in Crawford for a couple of weeks in the meantime.
Ahhh..., I see...
Does anyone have a location in Dallas or some pictures?
