Maybe because as far as I can tell, NewsBlaze is basically a blog, albeit a big one, and little things like factual references are just an annoyance to blog readers. Gives the blog all the credibility of the Weekly World News.

Note that the poster is the author of the story. He's trying to drive hits to his blog page to pump it.

Specifics would indeed be welcome, assuming the story is true. I don't doubt it either, but until facts emerge, it's a tabloid story.

when i read the story there was an update which stated:

Update: The parents spoke to the Vice-Principal this afternoon. He said he would take care of it. I will check with them tomorrow and update this story.

all that were given for specifics were Clark County School District of Las Vegas,
