I sat by my wife as she had a c-section and to ease her nervousness (and mine) I did the same thing.
They were engaged as WWII was getting underway in ‘41 but they waited to the end of the war in Europe in ‘45 to get married. He was a Master Sgt. in Europe.
They had just celebrated their 62nd anniversary a week prior to her passing away, during a morning nap in her room in the same nursing home. So they had about 66 years as a couple.
Yeah.
