Why do you never reply to anything?
send some community organizers in and teach the Alinsky method/s
Don’t even try. They’re a bunch of America-hating pussies and we’ve got enough traitors on the mainland.
Post a Formosan birth certificate on line?
As one of the terms of their surrender we'll make them take Detroit. I'm sure they'll cry to the UN about that being a war crime.
“Sure it wasnt Mimosa?”
Just keep ‘em comin’, bardenter...

Didn’t want to stack the deck. I’ll be glad to spout off. Thanks for the question/suggestion.
I certainly hope not, there are a lot of Chinese to fight.
Taiwan is the commonly used name for the Republic of China. The island is locally governed by the former goverment of China in exile. The island itself is named Formosa. Japan lost it to the United States as a result of World War II. The United States has never ceded the island to anyone.
The logic is that China never occupied or governed the island of Formosa. Japan lost it to the United States and we have never given or sold it to any other country. The Republic of China is the local government but does not own the island itself. Formosa, argue the plaintiffs is a U.S. Territory.
LOL!
Formosa and Taiwan are two names for the same island. The Republic of China is located mainly on the island of Taiwan and as a result is usually referred to simply as "Taiwan." However, the Republic of China controls a number of other, smaller islands in addition to Taiwan.
That's interesting. I hadn't realized we won it from Japan. Why didn't it revert to Japanese territory after the war? We don't generally keep territory at the end of conflicts.
I was pretty much up to speed on the rest of it. One thing that continually concerns me regarding Taiwan, is that they often make comments to the effect that they plan to reunite with the Mainland.
That pretty much kills my ability to defend them against the Mainland.
How big is the faction that thinks the U.S. owns Taiwan? Where were they before Taiwan was coveted by the mainland to the degree it is today?
Is the faction that wants it to return to China larger? If so, who are we to object. We've never taken any actual ownership before have we? I wasn't aware of it if we did.
I though Chang Kai Chek (I'm sure I butchered that name) had retreated there after the revolution and set up a government in exile there. Did we object back then? Did we assert our ownership?
I've got to admit, this is a new angle to me.
Like Quimoy and Matsu?.... Remember those days?
Ever heard of California, Arizona or New Mexico?
1852 isn’t the 1940s. We haven’t kept territory we’ve won in going on 157 years, unless someone can bring up another example that I’m forgetting.
I'd guess millions already hold dual citizenship with either US or Canada. Taiwan is one of our closest allies.
>We don’t generally keep territory at the end of conflicts.
Puerto Rico
Guam
The British and Canadians captured Detroit without a shot during the War of 1812. After the war they made us take it back. That's how I know we lost that war...
