Huh? Any money to ACORN will be bad. Obama is going to bring in millions more illegals (especially Muslims & Africans) so in 2010 you might as well forget about voting.

If the Repubs do not fight back and resist tooth and nail it is all over. They appear to have caved on the BC and it could have turned the country around.

The GOP Congresspeople need to get a big freaking chart of the S&P 500. Show when O was nominated June (S&P 500 1390), show O ahead in the polls in Ocotober (last chance for McCain) (S&P 500 1150), days after election (Nov 6 S&P 500 900) and since he was elected (yesterday S&P 500 840).

The FREAKING market has plummetted because no one with a brain has any confidence in this Muslim born in Kenya.

Anyone here who can post the chart from Yahoo? Rush needs to put it on his web site and people need to call him and tell him to talk about it.

Drudge should post it too.

The latest hot topic on Drudge: $335,000,000 FOR STD PREVENTION IN ECONOMIC STIMULUS BILL

Democrats may have eliminated provisions on birth control and sod for the National Mall in the "job stimulus" -- but buried on page 147 of the bill is stimulation for prevention of sexually transmitted diseases!

The House Democrats' bill includes $335 million for sexually transmitted disease education and prevention programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

In the past, the CDC has used STD education funding for programs that many Members of Congress find objectionable and arguably unrelated to a mission of economic stimulus [such as funding events called 'Booty Call' and 'Great Sex' put on by an organization that received $698,000 in government funds.]

"Whether this funding has merit is not the question; the point is it has no business in an economic plan supposedly focused on job creation," says a stimulated Hill source.

Developing...

The only “stimulus” package needed is immediate tax cuts for business and a 10-week extension of unemployment. That’s all....not this monstrocity.

According to our local paper the republicans from the DFW area will be voting NO. I sent my rep a email thanking him. I do not want any republican finger prints on this tar baby. The democrats want it, let them wear it and wear it with pride with no cover from the republicans. After the vote the House republicans should go to the capital steps and start calling out the waste and payoffs to left wing groups.

Is the ACORN money going direct or can we compete for it?

Unless you know how to write a fuzzy-liberal grant request that says nothing but contains phrases such as "multiculturalism," "sustainability," "environmental," "green spaces," "social justice," "poverty," "empowerment" and above all "for the children,"  forget about it. (I'm betting all of the funds have been promised in advance, but we won't know where it went until after it's spent -- it's the new opaque "transparency" that Zero promised.)

Last I heard  the total to so-called "community groups" is about 4 billion -- there's been reports that a significant portion of that has been/will be specifically earmarked for ACORN, as payback and future strengthening of the Zero machine of invincibility through fraud and intimidation.

"Especially if you live in a district with a Republican or Blue Dog member, tell them to vote NAY!"

RIGHT!

It’s the Democrats’ party now, and they got control by promising FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY and ACCOUNTABILITY.

We CAN make our dissent well known, by holding ANY member of ANY party (including so-called Independents) ACCOUNTABLE for a “yea” vote. ALL of them, every last one.

ANY American who opposes this theft of our tax dollars, REGARDLESS of party: HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE!

That’s true and I noted that but we’ll get an indication of the stomach these Republicans have. If a bunch of House republicans cave, we have no hope for a meaningful Senate showdown.

it's more than that per taxpayer since there's not that many taxpayers.

And, there's already been more than one big "stimulus" package.

just keep calling and mailing reps and senators.
Not just our own but those red dog Dems and also the RINO’s.

There is no way we can afford to let the likes of ACORN get billions as if we do we will have our own money against us in 4 years.

This is a pork bill.

If i don’t have enough money I don’t go and buy a new car so why the hell does this phony and the Dems think they should with our money.
Infact they shouldn’t even have cars paid by us they should buy their own like we do.

Then they want to build houses for minorities, i.e blacks with my money along with helping those who were stupid to get a house they could not afford

this is a chance for the GOP to say told you so , told you it wouldn’t work and now look at where we are.

This can give us a good platform for the economy over the Dems and spend party

we have to get the message out over ACORN as the media is not telling the public enough about it.

I have been calling and mailing reps and senators all over this country especially red dog Dems and RINO’s.
I think I have told every neighbor in my area about this and all mu family knows about it.

No way can we let the likes of ACORN get billions and then it is used against us

There are, the employment data tell us, about 135 million people working in America.

$825 billion / 135 million = $6,000/worker ... TOO MUCH OF A BURDEN FOR WORKING AMERICA!

Instead they could have made it a $6,000 tax cut for each worker in America

Even as Republicans are criticizing the House stimulus package as too costly, some economists say the plan might be too small to jolt the economy back to life. Robert Shiller, an economist at Yale University, questioned the plan in an opinion piece published Tuesday in the Wall Street Journal, saying it might not be large enough to make a big difference on the economy.

This is going to be their CYA. When it doesn't work, they're going to say it wasn't big enough.
