If Rush REALLY wanted 0bama to fail, he would have gotten behind a REAL conservative in the GOP primaries of 2008 instead of pontificating while refusing to take a stand.

He made it pretty clear he favored Thompson, although he never came outright and said it. It’s hardly Rush’s fault that McCain won, Rush trashed him almost as hard as he did the Huckster.

1) There WERE no Conservatives in the realistic pool and O.C. actually worked pretty well, just with unintended consequences;
2) He is an entertainer and doesn't pretend to be anything else;
3) He asks Conservatives to hew to Conservative principles. The fact they won't isn't on him.

Spot on!!! He didn't take a strong stand against a flaming socialist by supporting a staunch conservative and this is the result.
