Wow. This came from Byrd? Amazing.

Had he not been nominated for Treasury Secretary, it’s doubtful that he would have ever paid these taxes.”

His staff aides nailed it. I suggest we all call any senator who voted for this cheat and ask if we can get a pass on a portion of our taxes due this year.

This was an immoral vote for anyone who voted for the confirmation. Confirming a tax cheat/fraud to head up the IRS because our country needs his "expertise"...... is like saying well, our principal may be a pervert because he has child porn on his computer, but he's such a great principal, we must keep him. Our district needs a great principal.

I agree with this statement except we shouldn't ask, we should tell them we're going to do so....as instructed by the United States Senate. If they're going to give Geithner the benefit of the doubt, so must we be given the same benefit.

Not to mention, the IRS also gave Geithner several breaks that us common folks rarely see - no lien, no levy, no wage garnishment, and no friggin' penalties - which is mandatory on amounts over $5000.

We need to not let this issue fade away. The rest of us little people are the worker bees who produce the wages that the IRS confiscates from us in increasing amounts. They in turn give that money to Congress so they can spend it like drunken sailors on pork barrel projects that end up mainly enriching THEM!

And I for one am sick of it!
