Geithner vote of 60-34 (near strict party line), Gibbs' Press Beatings, Pelosi's $300M for abortion, Obama's "I won so shut up" -- The speed with which the Obama Administration is going down is breathtaking -- and wonderful!
Integrity on the part of the so-called party of the right.
Well, Corker will be hearing from me...and he has just lost my vote in the future.
Shelby too???????????????
"Sen. Graham ... What in the HELL are you thinking? Why did you vote for the confirmation of the Sec of Treasury? If you'll check the CNBC poll (a LIB poll) you'll see that with 6800 votes it was 72% NO on this. The man is a crook, given a pass and now you "promoted" him? I cannot understand WHO it is you claim to represent. It isn't Conservatives, it isn't Republicans, and it damned sure isn't South Carolina, and it isn't even the CNBC fans!! Shame on you ... you are an embarassment to all of us.
Seriously... our system is broken when the people accept this.
Sad, but true. And yet McCain voted no.
The world turned upside down.
Well said.
Olympia Snowe was one of them if I heard the roll call correctly. Four Dems voted No. One of them was Byrd.
Cornyn???? WTH is up with that!?! I’m really convinced all politicians are corrupt at this point, there’s no other way to explain it.
Let me explain. If the good people of Ohio will support a conservative, fine. That's the absolute best solution! But, if all they do is support some rino prick, I would rather a full fledged liberal have the seat!
Until you LOTE'S realize rinos are much worse than dems in power, then you're bound to keep losing and losing and losing! I will do everything in my power as a conservative to FIRST fight you rino's and rino enablers before going after the enemy who I can recognize immediately!
McCain did the RIGHT thing today, but he's has a long way to go, he's got to prove he sides with conservatives or politically die as a rino!
I just called Corker’s DC office. Closed. I will call again tomorrow. What the hell was he thinking? (That was my voicemail too).
I simply do NOT understand their *thinking* on voting for this man. Couldn’t the Dems vote him in without any Republicans?
Specter, Collins and McCain are surprising. They get kudos for the day, at least.
Also, the three Dems/one Socialist get kudos as well. Feingold really is the most principled Democrat in there in my mind, always has been.
And Bernie Sanders operates the same way. He's usually wrong, but I'd bet he's rarely bought off.
I plan to email AND call. I just don’t get it...
Voting for so-called “ability” with NO attention to integrity!!! The corruption grows....and what a great example for our children... (too disgusted for words)...
Good. Nice to see Republicans standing up for principle for once.
This tells us all once again that there is a class of “special” people who are above the law. They are so exceptional that their transgressions and corruption has to be excused.
I thought the same thing. It looks like Obama is on the road to becoming immensely unpopular. If most of the Repubs vote against the Democrat plans, which will surely fail, then conservatives can hang it around their necks in 2010 and 2012.
It's not like no one expected Olympia Snowe to vote with the Democrats.
I’m truly shocked that Cornyn voted ‘yes.’ He’s always been a reliable conservative.
