Binghamton NY and the entire surrounding Southern Tier is on the verge of collapse. Soon, those collecting government checks will so outweigh those employed and paying taxes in the area that the inverted pyramid will collapse. Bank on it.
Not to mention the brutal and crushing property taxes residents are inflicted with.
Good luck with that. I was born and raised in Binghamton, but I would not live anywhere in NYS now for every penny (in gold) of the bailout monies obambi is trying to get. Their victim disarmament laws are worse than those here in CA, bad as THEY are!
