Limbaugh Slams Obama: Says New Prez is Not a 'Unifier'

Conservative radio king Rush Limbaugh shot back at President Obama this afternoon - saying the new commander-in-chief is "not a unifier and not bipartisan" and is "more frightened of me" than he should be of Republican leaders.

"I think [Obama] wants me to fail," Limbaugh said on his show, rebutting Obamas' comments Friday that GOP lawmakers should not be listening to the right-wing talk show host.

Limbaugh Fires Back

Obama had warned Republicans on Capitol Hill Friday that they need to quit listening to Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.

"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his $825 billion stimulus package.

The conservative blowhard opened his show by saying, "I'm the man you should not be listening, according to President Obama."

Republicans have said that the price tag is too big a burden for a nation crippled by debt and that it doesn't do enough to stimulate the economy by cutting taxes.

"You know, I'm concerned about the size of the package. And I'm concerned about some of the spending that's in there," House GOP Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said after the Friday meeting. "How does that stimulate the economy?"

Limbaugh also said Obama is more than happy to "see me fail."

"He's more frightened of me than he is of John Boehner, which doesn't say much for our party," said Limbaugh.

He then said Obama's comments didn't matter, arguing that the president is "sprinting so far to the left" during his first week in office.

"The Republicans haven't been listening to me, anyway," Limbaugh said. "It's a moot point."

"I can live quite happily without the approval of someone I don't know -- someone I don't give a flying *uck about."

Well at least we can agree on that...:)

For openers,I am not a drive-by listener to Rush.He is on in the background as I write this.Plus,I never said that I did not listen to his whole show yesterday.I only was complaining about the amount of advertising that seems to be cutting off discussing most of his important issues before they even get rolling. As far as Rush’s opinions go,I happen to agree with ninety percent of what he has to say. It’s just getting frustrating knowing that our one voice as conservatives has fallen silent on the ongoing birth certificate scandal.I am putting all my faith in Rush to finally turn this into a hotly contested issue amongst his listeners.Myself among them. And if he did already go over the fact that he will not discuss this issue, than I must have missed that show.

OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH.....that's a slam to hurt any liberal.

If Limbaugh wants to get really nasty, he'll call him "illiberal."

Obama just did the impossible, he castrated the GOP leadership TWICE.

Obama FEARS Rush!

Obama considers the GOP in DC irrelivant and treats them as such.

If they capitulate on the bipartisan socialist bill, then they will confirm it.
