Anyone seen the netbooks lately with Intel Atom processors?

I saw one this weekend with 1GB of memory, a 16GB SSD drive, and an atom processor for $399 at Best Buy.

Right next to it, was a full sized laptop for about 50 bucks more.

F&&k Google. I stopped using their search engine for anything more than chicken soup recipes because they keep your searches. I don't want anyone building up a list of my searches - that's private to me.

Yes. He even began a company that offered that. It closed after 2 years, or so.

I believe that in an office environment there will be an increase in networking to the main server, and less devices/files/folders on the local computers. But not for home use. There are far too many home users around the world and laptop owners who do not want financial docs, personal files and work projects to reside on remote servers. Besides, we've come a long way to beef-up processor speeds. Does anyone think that Intel and all the other processor companies will suddenly slash their customer base? Hardly. And any dramatic move towards networking with the host machine and/or remote server storage for millions of people is a long reach, and in my opinion, a failed concept for widespread use from its inception.
