despite the fact that in many areas, NHS waiting lists for operations are too long...Yep, B.Hussian's model health care system, coming to a state you live in! Darn glad I couldn't have kids.

I have a Brit friend who waited 3 years for an operation to correct a problem with her leg. The condition wasn’t life threatening, but it was painful and caused her to walk with a limp.
Of, I waited 8 months for a VA eye exam.

Yup. I was a ‘Yank’ who lived there and had to deal with the NHS. The UK has a ‘two-tier’ system. You can go ‘privately’, or NHS. I tried both (myself and child). I can tell you which one was better (you won’t even have to guess). My NHS experiences were NIGHTMARES!!!! I won’t bore you with the details.
