Hamas officials in Cairo have proposed a year-long truce with Israel and an opening of the crossings into the Gaza Strip, in the latest round of diplomatic meetings to build on a fragile ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas official Ayman Taha told reporters in Cairo on Sunday that his delegation was briefed by the Egyptians on an Israeli proposal for a year-and-a-half long truce with only partial opening of the border, which they rejected.
Instead, Taha says the group made a counter offer of a year with open borders, which they now must discuss with their leadership in Damascus.

They must really be low on ammunition.
Tru(n)cated.
Sure, Hamas suffers a bit of a whoopin' so Israel should just open the borders wide and allow all arms smuggling and terrorist transit to occur, so that Hamas can be re-supplied and made ready for next time. That sounds like just the sort of proposal that Mitchell/Obama/Hillary will go for.....
Hudna
Hamas will then be fully rearmed by Iran with missiles that can hit Tel Aviv. And when the missiles start falling on Tel Aviv, Obama will call for “dialogue” about it.
How do you spell Bullsh^t in Arabic?
A counter offer of a return to the previous status quo — which means Israel’s answer will be “no”. And the stupid recent statement from one of the 3000 corrupt princes of Saudi Arabia — that the phony offer of peace with and full recognition of Israel made in 2002 won’t be on the table forever — will get an unofficial “so what?” :’)

Good one.:^))
Please Israel, give us a years truce while we arm up,
and we promise to wait at least a week before we start firing area missiles at your civilian population....
