The Chicago Tribune isn’t nearly as bad as many of the other major dailies. Although it’s been dumbed down considerably over the last couple of years.

The Waterbury-Republican has great editorials. There’s a ping list for it. I’ll try to find it.

It’s actually called the Waterbury Republican-American. Graybeard58 has the ping list.

The New York Post is usually pretty good and it’s generally available from below the Philly area right on up through Conn. Maybe even wider. In the Philly area the only other decent choice is the Bulletin. Don’t touch anything else.

Isn’t the Manchester Union-Leader out of New Hampshire a pretty good paper?

sorry for the innocent chuckle ... Seeing conservative and newspaper in the same sentence, for me, is a pipe dream. I live in Upstate NY, in the only county in the country that usually goes to NADER.

Our Local paper makes the NY TIMES seem almost RIGHT WING, and makes the San FranSICKO papers seem almost MODERATE.

In the People’s Republic of Baltimore, The Examiner seems to lean a tad right off center.

My Democrat sister claims that the only reason I don't hate the "Pottstown Mercury" is because it is a Republican run Conservative newspaper. http://www.pottsmerc.com/

Of course the truth is merely that it isn't a total Left Wing Only rag.

I thought of another: the Canada Free Press: http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/

It even has a countdown clock to when Obama leaves office. Their editorials and articles have been posted quite a bit on FR and have been great.

The CURRENT of Southern NJ (Egg Harbor Township, Mays Landing, etc.) was exclusively full of good, local news and conservative Op-Ed pages - until one month ago where the are now running “The Left’s Turn”.

Nothing lasts for ever. Once they start top grow they all go left.

John O’Sullivan’s law in action: that any organization that’s not explicitly conservative becomes liberal over time.

There is still the New York Post. Also the Boston Herald. The Herald's been straying due to Bush fatigue, but that may change as Obama settles in.

There's also the Telegraph over in London. But newsprint isn't really where it's happening nowadays, is it?
