Blagojevich's office on Friday also released copies of dozens of federal subpoenas that underscored the sweeping nature of the prosecution's longtime criminal investigation of an administration built on a pledge of reform. One subpoena issued a day before Blagojevich's Dec. 9 arrest seeks records of any correspondence with top Obama advisers David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett, while others seek documents involving state hiring, bidding and contracts as well as information about the real estate business run by the governor's wife, Patricia.
On Monday at noon, the ornate chandelier-framed chambers of the Illinois Senate will provide the setting for the impeachment trial. In a nod to decorum, senators were advised not to bring food to their desks, to turn off cell phones and iPods, and use their laptop computers only "in connection with the impeachment trial proceedings" rather than play solitaire as some often do.
Blagojevich, who has protested the rules as unfair, has indicated he won't attend any part of the trial and won't be in Springfield when it opens. Instead, he is appearing in a taped interview Sunday on NBC's "Today" and on Monday he is scheduled to appear on ABC's "Good Morning America" and later, with his wife on "The View" to argue his innocence in the court of public opinion. CNN was touting a later Blagojevich appearance on "Larry King Live."
Blagojevich also retained a public relations firm with a specialty in crisis management. The firm, The Publicity Agency, lists as a client former Bolingbrook Police Sgt. Drew Peterson, suspected in the slaying of his third wife and disappearance of his fourth wife.

NBC’s Amy Robach got the first interview with Blago, some of which is slated to be shown on the Sunday Today Show and Sunday NBC Nightly News. The main showing will be on Monday’s Today Show.
I wonder if Blago requested Robach do the interview. Of all the talkers at NBC, Amy is the one I’d choose.

The instructions about not bringing food, turn off cell phones, no PLAYING SOLITARY on lap tops etc is a good ‘indictment’ of the times.
These are the idiots ‘charged’ with making our laws etc and they don’t even have the decency to at least go through the motions of ‘serving’.
One poster is correct, you gotta pull for Blago in this one but believe he made a statement the other day that ‘the Democrats are going to raise your taxes’...with the statement and the way the press is ‘treating’ him, one would think there was an “R” behind his name.
He keeps talking etc and being on his SECURITY DETAIL may become a ‘hazardous duty’ situation.....
If OB and the Clintons have a sit down, the guv should start putting his affairs together and DEFINITELY stay out of ‘Parks’.
