Tens of thousands of pro-life supporters filled the boulevard along San Francisco's waterfront for more than a mile in the 5th Annual Walk for Life West Coast today, walking behind a 10-foot-long "Abortion Hurts Women" banner....
The Walk came four days after President Barack Obama's inauguration and one day after Obama reversed the Bush administration's ban on federal funding of international groups that perform abortions or provide abortion information.
"We shall overcome!" Frank Lee of Asian Americans Against Abortion, said, addressing the crowd in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Lee joined Walk organizer Eva Muntean to urge opposition to the proposed Freedom of Choice Act which would eliminate all restrictions on abortion.
"Women deserve better, men deserve better - we all deserve better than abortion," Feminist for Life speaker Karen Shablin, an African American, told the crowd. Shablin, a former member of the National Abortion Rights Action League who had an abortion in her 20s, said that 37 percent of abortions are done on black women - who make up just 13 percent of the population.
"President Obama puts a face on black genocide," declared Rev. Clenard Childress, a Baptist pastor and founder of BlackGenocide.org who has spoken at the Walk since its inception in 2005. "President Obama is the fulfillment of what the abortion industry always wanted and that was a black face to validate abortion."
But Childress said that Obama's election is not the end of the pro-life movement - to the contrary.
"We thank God today for this moment. You're not going away, I'm not going away. This is our moment," Childress said....

It's no shock at all. It's been happening for nearly ten years now in San Francisco and gets larger each year. The news media isn't real big on covering these types of events.
Thanks for the link but I am U tube less an old webtver
Well now, that is another 'shocker'....:)
And they call Las Vegas 'Sin City'........
Not by a long shot, no way.
I had no idea there were so many sane, God fearing people left is SF.
There is hope.
Oh I have had such a joy filled day in our home today and you just sent me over the edge in a full belly roll.
That was too funny.
Me too!
I live in the same area, haven’t seen any local news story about this, and would have joined in. But I didn’t hear about it until now.
There are some wonderful, conservative, people living in the bay area. We just get drowned out by the rest.
If they do, they will have lost. God Save the brave souls who stand up against this madness.
Awesome.
See this is the type of report/eye witness that people like you need to get out there to the world.
Thanks for sharing such news of growing hope for the infirmed/unborn/disabled.
Wow.
I figured no MSM notification but do you have/use access to EWTN or some other Christian tv/radio, Church announcements or a pro life group in the area that has a mailing list?
I might assume you are busy working/school and or raising an active family that a Christian media even FreeRepublic slipped by without you getting word.

You are absolutely right.
In 2000 I participated in a conservative moving protest, along side 100’s of other conservatives. (many of them FReepers)
We marched through the streets of SF and also went to every main newspaper and tv station building.
We shouted “can you hear us now” among other things.
NOT ONE of these MSM organizations covered the protest or came out to at least investigate why we were there.
The only news station that covered it was TELEMUNDO.
What does that tell you.
I am a little annoyed at some FReepers who are bombarding us with calls of “ACTION”. Telling us that all we need to do to get heard is to get a group together and go down to the local tv station and talk to them.
Sorry, the time for that type of action is over. If it didn’t work in 2000, why would it work now when things are much worse?
It is going to take a huge (million or more) uprising of thinking people to get attention. Any groups smaller than that, they will ignore and/or lie about.
I can’t believe it slipped by me either. I go to a very good church, receive emails from them, frequent a large christian board as well as spending way too much time on FR.
With all that, I missed it. It happens.
Time for a million man-woman march!
In San Farancisco?
If this can happen in this leftist fruit basket, just imagine what we could do here in the United States.
We BARTed over and there were lots of SFPD as always but they know that we will cause them no trouble.
The rally point is Justin Herman Plaza.
It happens.
Perhaps Big Guy has another spiritual service he is gonna need your God given talents for. : )
I believe that the resistance movement is being revitalized and strengthened at this very moment.
Someone on some thread here on FR offered a quote about Obama, that if he pushes FOCA he will awaken a sleeping giant.
I believe that will prove to be true.
I’m especially rejoicing to see so many young people—in the picture given on this thread and also from what I watched of the March for Life in DC.
That is exactly what I thought of when I read your initial post to me.
Everything happens for a reason. Waiting and praying.
I just got back from the rally. I’ll post pics as time permits.
Hope for us all.
Proud and honored to say that I was there today.
